    Anyone ever moved long distance?

Keep all your receipts!!! I don't know if you can still claim a tax deduction for long distance moves, but you'll definitely want to talk to a tax professional about it come tax time next year. I got laid off from my job in Florida and moved back to Indiana to find work and could have claimed...

What Is Your Favorite 80's Movie??

Oh, and Terminator! I like this movie because the creators did an excellent job of tying everything up at the end. So many movies leave some loose ends that make you wonder. This movie didn't. When the end came, everything made sense.

What Is Your Favorite 80's Movie??

I was a child of the 80's and there were so many movies I liked. However, here are some of the standouts for me: Better Off Dead (I want my two dollars) Valley Girl (Like, totally, fur shur!) Night of the Comet (I watched this over and over with my friends) Sixteen Candles (Even today, I...

    ankle....discomfort

I've had issues with my left ankle - pretty regularly in the past year. I think the main cause of my problem was my car. Up until a week ago, I had a stick shift and used my left foot to work the clutch. A year ago, we moved to a place closer to where I work and so I have been driving all...

    Magic Bullet???

You know, I guess if you are only buying it to make smoothies and frozen drinks, you might want to invest in one. So, as an addendum to my first post, just think about what you want to use it for before purchasing it. Smoothies & drinks: Yes; food items: No.

    Omega 3

I've recently purchased a couple of different kinds of Omega 3 supplements, but haven't yet added them to my regimen. The one I think I'll like better came from Nature's Sunshine (I got a distributorship through a local holistic doctor, but I've never sold the product - I only purchase it for...

    Magic Bullet???

I got the two for one deal, but don't use the contraption anymore. I tried to make salsa, too, but had the same problem as the other poster: I got a soupy consistency. I tried a few times, but never got the salsa to come out the way I wanted it to. I may use my Magic Bullet as a blender for...

    which ones are the best???

I do like Pyramid Lower Body, but I'd have to say that if you can only get two workouts right now, get Gym Style Legs and Butts & Guts. Add PLB later, but definitely add it.

    Ankle weights- 5 or 10lb?

I second the vote for adjustable ankle weights. Dick's Sporting Goods sells some that allow you to increase or decrease the weight by inserting weight rods into little pockets. Everything velcros closed and I find this type of weight to be the best way to go.

    Cardio Fusion

Cardio Fusion became my favorite of Cathe's latest workouts! I love the Mix and Match premix, although I've yet to make it through the entire thing!

I sold Low Max 2x and am now in love!

I will never sell any of mine, either...unless I'm destitute! But I don't see that happening. :-)

    Today's Sizes...WTH?!?! A ZERO?!?!

Oh, no...I HAVE recently seen sizes that are negatives. Size -1X Zero, -2X Zero, -3X Zero. I posted about this about a month or so ago and just couldn't believe that these are actual sizes. I guess the way I look at it, if someone wears a size negative extra zero, they should be folding in on...

BRAND new to Cathe - Help me Choose DVDs

If it's the step that you don't like, but you like the cardio, just do the workouts without the step. It sounds like you enjoy floorwork like KPC and the Gilad workouts, so maybe if you didn't have to worry about that big old step being there to keep you extra-coordinated, just don't use it. I...

    2 Questions

When I come across a step sequence that's causing me trouble, I'll stop and watch the move a couple of times, then I'll rewind and watch again, trying the move with little steps. I might even pause the DVD and do the move in slow motion until I feel I've got it. When I think I've got it, I...

    step complication

I think I started out with just about the hardest DVD of all - Step Blast. I'd recorded it off of FitTV, so I didn't know any better and just went for it. I did a lot of rewinding before finally getting ALL the choreography, which took several months since it took me that long just to get...

    "must have" strength DVDs

RE: It sounds like you've got all the ones I'd say you need to have, so here's my suggestion: A few weeks ago, I picked up "Muscle & Fitness Hers" magazine at the store. It was fantastic! They summarized and illustrated 3-4 different workout plans, one of which was a 6-week program designed...

    NEWBIE HERE....w/ questions about workouts

I never liked Supersets/Push Pull. I started right off with Pyramid Upper Body and Pyramid Lower Body, and I really liked those. Now I'm a Gym Style Series junkie, though. Whenever I want to strength train, I inevitably put one of those DVD's in. However, with the release of Butts &...

    future workout suggestion

I would love 20-30 minute workouts, as well. I suggested this a couple of months ago, but didn't see any feedback, so I'm glad to see someone else wants the same thing. I have found that getting up in the morning and doing a 20-minute workout and then doing another 20-30 minute workout after...

BUTTS AND GUTS VS GYM STYLE LEGS

Another nod for GS Legs here! While I like B&G and GS Legs both, it's for different reasons. B&G is just that! Butts! and Guts! I feel like my bun cheeks are little rocks after that workout! There's something about B&G that just gets me going! I love the walking lunges, the firewalkers...

Help me decide which ones to get......

If you goal is cardio only, then get #'s 3 and 5 (Imax 2 and SB). Those are great cardio workouts! The choreography is more complicated in SB, but Imax 2 is more intense. Both have excellent music. If you want a mix of cardio and weights, then I'd recommend #'s 3 & 4 (Imax 2 and PLB/PUB)...
