Hi!
I think that if you could work out first thing in the morning, before your day gets away from you, you might be able to get into a routine. I used to LOVE to work out in the morning, even though it meant getting up at 4am, because since the day hadn't started, there was nothing going on yet...
I can't answer your question, but I am sure curious about your results, too! So, once he was done with the test, did he just give you your numbers and send you home? Or can something be done to get your numbers in line with what he thinks they should be?

I think that's about right!
Lisa, I agree with you...250 sounds about right. I have to remember that all it takes is a candy bar to undo all the calories expended during that workout. That's why clean eating is so critical. Definitely something I have to work on! :)

Check out the post called "cathe video help?" by nik13 in this forum dated June 20. Cathe goes into great detail about the PS Series, Bodymax, MIS, and others.

I know that Cathe addressed this question, but I searched and searched and couldn't come up with the post I had in mind. There are some websites that talk about calories burned per minute...here's one: http://www.elibydesign.com/wellness/htmls/exercise/caloriesburned.html
Maybe you will have...
Cathe, you look awesome! Absolutely inspiring!
This picture is the boost I've needed. I have been so good about working out, but not so good about eating right. Clean eating begins today!

I do use less weight with MIS than I do with the PS series. Could you save the chest work for the end, since that fatigues you the most? I know it might be a hassle fast forwarding and rewinding, unless you have the DVD, but maybe you could give it a try.

What a great explanation!
Wow! What a great explanation of the differences in the various workouts!
When Cathe said that there's gonna be 6 min and 30 seconds of lunges in Power Hour, my legs started quivering already! Oh, how I dread lunges!!!

I am a Payroll Administrator(CPP) for a manufacturing firm in San Diego. Love my job, but the hour long commute stinks. I get in early so that I can leave at 4pm. By 5:30, I am at home and working out. I would rather work out in the morning, but I have to get up and out the door by 6, so it...
Hi, Collette!
Welcome! I just had to answer, because I, too, sometimes suffer from mild depression, and working out, and lurking on these boards, has been a lifesaver.

Hi Nancy!
I am using the dense foam mats. I ordered enough for an 8 by 6 foot area, as I didn't have room for the 10 by 10. I find that the 8 by 6 is just fine...I don't come off of the mat during any of the Cathe videos that I have.
They are nice, because they assemble like a jigsaw...
Check out www.greatmats.com I have a tile floor in the room I workout in, and I put these mats down and it makes it so much better. I know that it is still not great to have a cement or a tile floor, but what can we do about that? My husband said he saw the mats advertised at Home Depot for...
Thank you Cyndie!
What great words of inspiration! I think I am going to print out your message and read it whenever I am feeling discouraged. You sure help keep things in perspective!

Good for you! I still haven't done MIC. I keep looking at the preview video, but I haven't brought myself to order it yet.
One of these days, I'll go for it. I always forget that I can always modify. (Does sitting on the couch and just watching it count as modifying, because that I could...
RE: Fit and Shape
About a year ago, one of the mags I subscribe to had an article about women who weigh 140 (or maybe it was 145). It showed pictures of a variety of women with different body types that happened to weigh the same. I think it was meant to show that we shouldn't get hung up on a...
Hi NicoleP!
For sure you will get there!!!! You're on the right track...a little more each time. I still do that with some of the videos. Don't compare yourself to anyone else here, just challenge yourself, and measure your progress against yourself. (I need a thesaurus..I used "yourself"...
