    Hey, Heidi :) Let me start by saying, when I started lifting heavy weights in earnest, my body composition completely changed. I became much leaner and more defined. I think you need to up your lifting to 3-4/wk (I love splits) and keep the cardio to 3-4/wk (varying HIIT, intervals, etc)...

    Rest week?

    It really depends on how you feel. IMO, a rest week once or twice a year is so mentally/physically rejuvenating. Your muscles do all the repair/growth work when at rest, too! After a break, I find I am really eager to get back to work. If you find you don't need that long, maybe a few days...
