I can honestly say that I love my job! I was an administrative assistant at a university for years while my husband did school, and then more school, and then got hired as faculty. It was fine, but I always felt that I wanted to do "more." I totally relate to your comment about "self worth."...

I'd say $8-10 is a good range for 3 kids, including a preschooler. That's about what my daughter charges for most families, and her "clients" include a set of 3-year-old twins, and a family with 4 kids (ages 10 to 1 -- that mom often pays a "bonus" on top of her hourly rate). She's almost 17...
