Push/Pull Question

I am loving the new Split series, however I do have a question that comes to mind every time I am doing the Push or the Pull section. I feel there is very little rests in between the sets and the exercises and that I feel like I am rushing through it at a pretty fast pace. Is the goal here strength endurance? I am lifting with the exact weights Cathe is using and am looking for some hypertrophy but I don't feel I could keep up the pace with much heavier weights. I know I could slow it down but like following Cathe, so what exactly is the goal for these sections? Do I have to slow it down and put in longer rests to gain the muscle I want or is it possible to achieve going at this fast pace?
