How to clean sticky band?

I received my new 6 foot bands today and want to pass down my old one to my daughter. Does anyone know how to clean the sticky off? Its just one side. TIA

I've been able to get the stickiness off of bands from humidity etc. by placing them in a bag with arrowroot powder and shaking it around, after I have cleaned & dried them. (I just clean by wiping them down with lightly shampooed water).
