Commit to get FIT & LEAN for February!

'Evening!
Belinda, okay, I admit that this morning you had me googling TJ! What a bad/good influence on me. I didn't break down yet, tho. Please note not yet. Maybe next month - this one is earmarked for dd's college tuition. Maybe next month's also. Glad you're enjoying them so much.
Kristin, I can't wait for this year to be over! It is like a year of constant and numerous changes. Did your sons have school today?
Amelia, you and Belinda =- tempting me to spend money! I got a lot of steps in today but was disappoint when checking my fitbit. Apparently, I set the time wrong and I'm already into the tomorrow! Will have to sync to check yesterday's stats.
Lori, hope all is well with the move.
Deb, enjoy the trip and relax.
Did supersets this morning. What a great workout. It had so many functional moves and low impact - it really was perfect for me.
I'm yawning like crazy! Guess it is time to call it a night.

Morning girls,

Still not sure where we going today? I know that much I will be gone for the next 4 days:eek:????? Let the fun begin....I willl be back Monday, maybe?

Cookie - I will not buy any wo dvds;)

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!

Good morning! I didn't get a chance to check in yesterday, it was a very busy day. I did manage to get in my workout. Xtrain Burn Sets Bi's and Tri's. I love how fast the burn sets go and how pumped my arms feel when I am done. Today HS is on tap. The rotation always calls for the shortened premix, but I like doing it in its entirety. I love the ab work at the end, especially the sit up/push up combo.

TOTM is definitely coming because I feel as if I am dragging and cranky too!

Oh. . . HAppy Valentine's DAy! My sons want a special dinner for tonight. . . breakfast for dinner. I said to them that that sounded perfect. Waffles and eggs it is! Lol!

Belinda- have fun on your mystery Valentine's Day getaway! Enjoy! I love that your DH did this for you. He is so sweet!

Cookie- I hear you about all the changes. We had our first staff development training last week and the trainer wants us to try one of these module/examplar lessons from engageny. We are meeting again the first week of March. Essentially now I had to throw away the rest of my Black History Month unit, which I worked hard on and LOVE to teach some stupid speech from Chavez and go over evidence-based claims. I have nothing to tie it into to, so it is not a unit, which is not how I work, nor how we are supposed to work (Essential Questions, themes, etc.). Anyway.. . I am doing it next week. We had our vacation taken away and we were told not to teach anything new because students would be out on vacation anyway  I am calling it no teach week. I am only doing the first part of it and then moving on the following week with my Cisneros author study unit. BTW- DS has school on Monday now because of the snow days :mad::mad:

Amelia- the tabatas are tough, but I keep telling myself that it is only four minutes, lol. I was drenched at the end. Next week I am supposed to try the first four together. I don't know if I will be brave enough, lol.

Waving hello to Lori and DEb!

Kristin

'Evening!
Belinda, enjoy the surprise Can't wait to hear.
Amelia, did your darlings makes you cards? I miss those days of hanfmade cards and gifts.
Kristin, wow school on President's Day! Never heard of that. Of course, when I was a kid Lincoln and Washington had separate days, but then again that was a long time ago.
Lori, how are you doing?
Deb, are you in the surf right now?
Did xtrain legs this morning. My quads are saying ouch, almost like they feel pinched at times. I'm loving this series. Thought I'd get lots of things done next week since it is supposed to be a break, and now it seems like I will - at work! Still aiming on decluttering the basement. Now that's a goal I'll never get finished on.

Hey girls,

Can you guys believe that after I told my boss I was going to be off and I was excited she said 'yeah, but im the one who will have to suffer with being short a full time person, not to mention my assistant" WTH? Talk about giving me a guilt trip?:rolleyes::rolleyes:<--- is what I have to say about that.;)

Hi girls,

We made it to Hawaii:) It's beautiful here, today we woke up to a rainbow. We are on Kaui and there are a lot of sunshowers but this island is so green. It has been hard catching up on sleep & tomorrow we leave for another island. The gym here is tiny, but we have been doing a lot of walking.

Belinda - Wondering where you went.

Lori - Did you move yet?

Kristin - I saw on the news it's in the 50's hopefully enough to melt some of the snow for you.

Amelia - Looks like your doing great with the rotation. It sounds like your boss really needs you.

Cookie - I love x-train too & miss it. Do you get President's day off?

Great job with your workouts, do a few extra for me::

'Morning!
Woke up to crunchy snow that fell during the night. Looking forward to taking the dogs for a walk in it in a bit.
Belinda, enjoy your mystery get away. Wonder where it is...
Amelia, talk about jealousy! That's not fair. Some folks are so tied up in themselves they just don't think beyond that sphere. You worked hard and deserve to enjoy those seven days. Have you tried SuperCuts yet?
Lori, how are you doing?
Phatgyrl, where are you?
Kristin, wasn't yesterday's weather great? I went in and out of a couple buildings w/o a coat! How does your ds feel about going to school when you don't have to?
Deb, so glad to hear about your trip. It gives up a chance to live vicariously. What a way to wake up - a rainbow in Hawaii. And I thought crunchy snow was good... There are quite a few universities in this area, and I have to present at one of them on Monday afternoon, so no day off.
Yesterday did 100s of different exercises and went to a hockey game. Getting together with some of dh's friends from college for dinner and another hockey game. Want to get in dog walk, bi/tri today. Having neighbor over for lunch, so need to make bread and dessert first!

Hi everyone. I tried to log in last night, but the website was acting funky yet again :(. I did HS last night and today I did Supercuts plus core #1. My abs are sore. I love, love, love the sit ups/pushups combo.

I spent most of my day going over lesson plans. I realized we have seven weeks of teaching until the state tests. I would love to just teach curriculum and not do any test prep, but I am afraid not to do test prep, so I am trying to factor it in in small doses from now until T-day. I don't know. DS is not happy about having school on Monday, especially because we made plans Sunday night to go over a friend's house and watch some WWE pay per view nonsense. I am not sure if I will send him in or not. he will be exhausted Monday morning and he has been looking forward to this night for weeks. He is a big WWE fan.

Deb- Oh my I am just imagining how beautiful it is there. How did you make out on the plane? I don't know if I could do a long plane ride like that, although Hawaii would be worth it.

Cookie- Yes, school on Monday, and as you can see I am torn about it. I also was walking around without a coat and some of the snow melted, so that was good. I am finally getting mail again because the snow melted enough that the mailman can get to my box, lol. Because of the plowing, my mailbox was buried. Just in time for bills, lol.

Amelia- Nice job on the workout! Glad you have a week off to enjoy and kick back. Your boss will have to deal, lol.

Belinda- Where did you go? I am dying to know.

Okay off to shower. DH and I are having a romantic Valentine's dinner tonight with no children!! I plan on having a glass of wine or two, lol

Kristin

Ladies i alologize for not answering. Suffice it to say that my DH has made my dreams come true actually beyond my greatest expectations. I will send a complete update Tuesday. We are in NYC Manhattan at the Waldorf Astoria to give you an idea. We are on day three and i am still pinching myself. It is amazing and he has spared no expense I teared up at least four times on Valentines and daily since. I wish you all the feelings i have.:)

Belinda-I just looked up the hotel your staying at and wow...beautiful. What a fantastic V-day weekend!

Kristin-Nice job with your workouts. I know what pushup combo your talking about, its definitely a challenge.

Deb-Waking up to a rainbow in Hawii sounds like a pleasure. Glad to hear your having a good time.

Cookie-What did you make for dessert? Nice job on your workout.

Hello to Lori and phatgryl

I've got my niece tonight she is 4now, I can't believe how quickly kids grow up. She's bossing around her cousins LOL, she just told them that they better clean up there mess or aunt Amy is going to get them. :p She had her hands on her hips too LOL

'Morning!
Belinda, Manhattan and the Waldorf! Wow! That's fantastic. I love NYC. Can't wait to hear about some of what you saw and did. Just walking around is amazing.
Amelia, how's the break? I'm sure your darlings are loving having you home. Your niece is 4 already?!!! Wow, where did the time go.
Kristin, glad you were able to get those bills! My dh actually gets aggravated when I say we need to check the mail - it's nothing but bills he claims. So what did you decide to do with your ds today?
Lori and Phatgyrl, thinking of you.
Deb, is it another beautiful day in Paradise? Enjoy. It's 7 degrees here and windy.
Yesterday did HS and the tabata routines after. I'm feeling the combo of bi/tri on Sat w/yesterday and loving it. Oh, could also be the 100s on Friday too. Today is SC and I'm looking forward to it. Starting in a couple of minutes. Have to present this afternoon at a local university, but visiting my mom this morning. So better get that wo in now.
Cookie

Good Morning:)

We are all moved in. Not completely unpacked but getting there. Hopefully by the end of the day the basement will be in order and my workout stuff will be set up. I haven't worked out since last Tuesday . But it's not as if I was relaxing! And to top it off the boys and I had the stomach flu on Saturday. Now DD has it. I wasn't feeling the best yesterday but I should be able to run today! And hopefully do weights tonight!

I will bbl for personals. We still don't have the Internet or phone. I am connected to my hot spots on my phone and I think it uses a fair bit of data. Hopefully I will be back tonight!

Lori:)

Hi everyone! I am still here! I did manage to get XTrain Bi's and Tri's disc two done yesterday, with Core 2. Today was legs and rear delts, disc 5. I spent the entire weekend doing my lesson plans and grading papers, but I am happy because I am finally all caught up.

Belinda- I am so happy for you. You will have to report all that you did in NYC. That sounds very thoughtful and romantic of DH. A real keeper ;).

Amelia- your niece sounds like a trip, lol. That is too cute.

Lori- Glad you are outta that landlord hell and in your own space now. Sorry you were sick with the stomach flu. Hopefully things will get back on track this week for you.

Cookie- We kept DS home. He was up until 11:30 watching the WWE. He has only missed 2 days of school, and from what I could see on the bus this afternoon, not many kids were in school.

Deb- I bet you are having a wonderful time in Hawaii. Can you bring back some warm weather?

Okay, off to cook dinner.

Kristin

'Morning!
Sure has been quiet here lately. Guess that shows life is busy and folks are active.
Belinda, hope you're having a great time. I used to live on W 77th Street, between CPW and Columbus - the street they inflate the Macy's balloons on for the Thanksgiving Day Parade. It's across from the Museum of Natural History. Great area. You can walk thru Central Park to 72nd Street, see the Strawberry Fields area, and come out at the Dakota. Your dh is a keeper! But then, he's lucky to have you.
Amelia, lol at the image of your niece bossing your darlings. How's the motivation these days?
Kristin, glad you got caught up. Can you come help me? I feel like I'm drowning. Yesterday got rather cranky that I have to work this week. It just seems to never let up. Then I had to do a presentation that I got roped into and it took four hours to prepare! Four hours I could have read a book, cleaned, exercised, or gotten other work done. Sorry for venting. My boys probably would have wanted to have stayed home also. A couple of times during inclement weather, we didn't have enough students show up, and had to make up the day!
Lori, glad you're settling in but sorry to hear about the stomach bug. There's one going around here and it seems nasty. We never worry about you not being busy.
Deb, hope it is another wonderful day in Paradise. 27 here now. Are you going to try paddleboarding or surfing?
csb this morning. Hoping to get home early enough to walk the dogs w/light.

Good evening, everyone.

I did HS tonight, the cardio only premix plus core #1. I think this is my favorite boxing workout of Cathe's. I have KM and KPC, and the MMAs from Shock Cardio. Hard Strikes is different from those though. I like that the focus is on punching and not so much kicking, plus my heart rate is up the entire time, not so much with MMA Boxing.

Did you see Cathe is working on new workouts? I am excited to see what the new ones will be focusing on. I would love a new 4DS series. I am loving XTrain right now. My shoulders are really "cut." I've never had shoulder definition like this. I can see the difference and I am midway through week 7 of the rotation.

Cookie- we all seem to be busy these days. Of course, Belinda and Deb are enjoying some vacation time, that's the kind of busy I wish I was experiencing right now. It stinks being at work when I know I should have been off, lol. DH and I were talking about how baseball season for DS starts in April, which is really 1.5 months away. Before you know it.. .spring and summer will be here. I plan on relaxing this summer!!!

Lori- are you all settled in yet?

Belinda- we want details woman!!!!

Amelia- are you enjoying your week off?

Deb- hope you are enjoying Hawaii.

Okay, off to bed!

Kristin

'Morning!
Quick check in before meeting with my National Board group...
So excited about new workouts! She sure set the bar high with Xtrain though.
Kristin, my mom always says if we're busy then we can't get rusty and cranky! No time for it. Since we had more snow last night, hard to imagine baseball season in a month and a half. I also really like HS. Fun, fast, and low impact.
Bis/Tris today.
Waving hi to everyone.

Hi everyone,

Since I last wrote the weather has been very windy & cool. We have been island hopping & the weather is following us:(. I'm excited today because we are going on a whale watching boat . . . may buy a sweatshirt too! I feel bad for the families with kids they are all bundled up. Well because of the weather we do have time for the gym but not sure if it offsets the sweet drinks:)

Belinda - How was your trip . . . I love NY!

Lori - You must be so happy to have moved & your so organized to have it done so quickly.

Kristin - I think X-train is great for the upper body, can't believe you are already 7 weeks in & kudos on the great results!

Amelia - How have you doing? I think it may be warmer by you LOL

Cookie - I'll have to check out the new workouts was surprised to hear but happy. How has you foot been?

Have a great day or night (5 hour time difference):)

'Morning!
Belinda, are you still in NYC? Hope you're enjoying wherever you are.
Amelia, did you have any decorations for Presidents' Day? Just trying to imagine what that might look like.
Kristin, HS is great. Even the tabatas with it are different. I'm seeing results more w/bi/tri area. Perhaps it is the shoulders making them show more tho...? I think this series is amazing.
Deb, did you see any whales? Still thinking windy and cooler in Paradise is still better than windy and snow in the northeast. My foot is doing better. Convinced dr to give cortisone shot, which did help. Since they think surgery would probably only make it worse I felt like there wasn't much else. Had to get a couple of opinions to get clearance. Also the inserts are probably helping. Able to keep up w/Xtrain rotation w/modifications!
Last night came home and did Jazzercise Burlesque so I could burn off calories to drink a glass of wine. This morning was legs. Last time I had doms in my quads for two days from it.

Morning girls,

Time for the update on our Valentines. My DH started by telling me to pack for four days and to make sure I had nice and comfortable clothes. We left at 0600 in the morning headed toward the country, DH told me we might be flying out of a regional airport to Orlando then we passed the airport. Next he was talking about Omish country (Pennsylvania) and staying at a bed and breakfast with no electricity and wood stoves. This went on for about two hours then I saw the first NY signs and had a pretty good idea since I been wanting to go there since forever.

He broke down and admitted NYC telling me of a small Army base in Brooklyn. We got to the base and went to the hotel only to get into a Town car, he tricked me again:eek:. The town car took us to Manhattan where we arrived at the Waldorf Astoria, my DH told me we were haaving lunch there because it was historic, it was amazing. When we checked in everyone seemed to know us, my DH had planned everything to suprise me and I was at every step. The manager took us to the top floor just below the penthouse, we wnet to the only double door on the floor opening to a 1200 square foot suite. It was boutique style with beautiful antique firuniture and views from each window because it was on the corner of 50th and Park Ave. DH quickley shuttled me off to a 60 min massage at the salon which is rated 2d or 3d in the world depending on the magazine your read. After that we walked to central park and he took me on a Handsome Cab ride throughout the entire Park, If I did not mention this was the third time I teared up:D. It was amazing. After the ride we went to dinner, it was a short walk and I had no clue again, he took me to the Four Seasons restaurant, Oh My God!:p We had a table waiting in the pool room right at the side of the reflecting pool, we had a personal server and waiter, Yup I teared up again:eek:.

After dinner I thought we were done, DH asked if I wanted to take a walk, of course I did. I had no clue where we were or where we were going. We walked a few blocks and the lights got brighter. We walked through Time Square and it was overwhellming, It was amazing, we continued to walk and came up on the Theater with the longest line it was the Phantom of the Opera, and we went straight to the front an were escorted to the Second row and seated. The theater was awsome and the show raised the hair on my sikn giving me goose bumps, I teared up again. It was now 1130 and the show ended, My day starting at 0600, I was amazed at my stamina, it was all overwhellming and beautiful, my DH had me fooled and amazed all day. It was a Ferry Tale Valebtines, the timing and the events were like a movie.

I was soo overwhellemed that I almost forgot about the Hotel, when we arrived I was amazed agin, DH had two dozen roses wating in the main entrance, large buds for our lasting love and small buds for our future together, I teared up again. What an amazing night, I will leave that alone.

The next day seeing my amazement DH extended our stay from Sunday to Monday. We stayed for four nights and each day was as amazing as the first, we went to every major store and shop, DH offering anything and everything. We did splurge on a newly released perfume at the Sack's, made for the NYC Sack's only, my DH got some too. We saw all of the sights eating at the finest resaurants and the best NYC street food and hidden gems. DH added a 50 minute massage to each days program ensuring I was relaxed and cared for, the pampering was amazing.

We chose to walk each day to see the real NYC. We walked an average of ten miles per day. One day we walked the entire length of Central Park, that is a beautiful and huge park. We went into Harlem where we found the most amazing little Deli Restaurant, Ottomanelli's, fabulous food;). We also got off the beaten path on another day finding Jim's Diner it was about ten feet wide and thiry feet long and had been visited by Emerald Lagasi, wow what a great burger. It is deffinatley a Metropolitan city, it felt like Europe at times and nowhere else at others. Manhattan has everything, we found quaint European esk Cafe's and wonderful Tea shops, and the people were polite, making the crowds easy to deal with. If any of you go to Manhattan I recommend walking everywhere, you never know what you will see around any corner. You see the influence of the rich and famous and the reality of everyday people. I love Manhattan!

All I can say is that this is our 30th year of marriage and December is our anniversary, if he keeps this up I won't know how to act. After 30 years he is still so romantic.

I will be back later. Have a great day, everyone!
