::: CHEETAHS - Wednesday:::

Kristi-when I was running with Baloo, it didn't take him very long to up his mileage. It got to the point that he did a 6.5 mile run with me! Just mind their feet and make sure they have water (I carry one of those plastic collapsible bowls) and all should be good.

Wendi-I hope your "marathon" turns out to be more like a 10K!!!

Wendy-loved the story about your uncle!!! Glad you are feeling better and glad to hear the Airborne is working because I am taking it right now.

Shelly-don't you love interval work? I have been doing HIIT and have really seen big improvements. I actually have HIIT on tap for tomorrow, but I don't know if that's gonna happen!

Carole-I just got an email that BBC is on the way. I told DF he is going to have to do it. He normally just runs 2-3 miles on the treadmill 3-4 times a week. Not enough-he needs to incorporate strength training as well! Maybe seeing other men doing the w/o's will help.

Amy-what is the 4 mile walk DVD like? Hope your hip is on the mend!

Jackie-don't you love the iTread sprints? I like those a lot.

Susan-you need to take a picture of DD with her 2lb weights. That is soooo cute!!! I am jealous of your Indian food lunch. Love Indian food!!!

Christine-I am sending good-neuter-vibes to Jimmy. Don't worry! He will be fine!

So, I am home and lying in bed and watching tv. I am about to go take another dose of Airborne. Send me cold vanishing vibes!!!

Hey there, chickadees! http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Animals/little-chicken-47.gif http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Animals/little-chicken-47.gif http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Animals/little-chicken-47.gif

Just finished off a nice, big salad and wheat roll for dinner and will head out for my run within a half hour or so.

Kristi :: I have lost 5 lbs. so far…Hmm, your schedule as a working mom of two is probably tough to iron out. Any way you can run Chelsea first thing in the AM or maybe in the evening after DH is home from work?…I have used Airborne, too. It works great for me if I can hit it early.

Wendi :: yeowch! Sorry ‘bout the rib…Hope work wasn’t too painful today.

Wendy :: What a fun & caring guy your uncle is. It’s a shame he lives so far away. Was your dad at all like him?…Great job getting in a workout while fighting a bug. You are one fierce cheetah! http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Respect/respect-023.gif

Shelly :: hope you enjoyed your run! Glad things aren't overly busy for you. That's gotta make a long stretch a little more bearable.

Carole :: *lol* at that blinking smiley. Yep, that’s pretty much what I looked like. I wasn’t expecting the drops. But this wasn’t really a standard exam, so I had no idea what was coming. Lots of blinking light tests and pictures of my eyeballs. Interesting...Glad the quads feel good…Speaking of Santas, something funny…for some reason, I never caught on that ours was the only family that left some cookies and a cold beer for Santa. I thought it was totally normal.

Amy :: hope the extra day’s rest has you feeling better.

Jackie :: Body Fusion is a 50-min. intermediate-level circuit workout on the same DVD with Basic Step. I bought it along with a couple of other Cathe circuit workouts as that’s my new approach for this month’s rotation, and I wanted to expand my options. There are 3 cardio & weight segments, and I opted to go quite a bit heavier on the weights than Cathe did, so I was really sweatin' good! I think next time I might add another riser to the step to make the first two cardio portions even more challenging. It’s a solid w/out, IMO…As always, a well-rounded, tough w/out for you today! Reminds me, I should dust off my foam roller.

Christine :: Haven’t tried Eion (yet) but know Susan had wonderful things to say about him. Let us know how it is. I rec’d Baron’s Long & Lean in today’s mail but probably won’t try it before Monday…Good for you keeping the weight off and the appetite in check. I seem to be with you…for now!…Aww, poor Jimmy! But it’ll be OK. We know you’ll baby and take excellent care of him as a mommy should!! :) …Thanks for sharing the inspirational Tahoe story ~ wow!! I’m always amazed by folks who accomplish those kinds of feats.

Susan :: hope you enjoyed lunch with the girls. I haven’t done those KM drills in a while. Makes me want to! That is too funny about Eion’s DOG doing a downward facing dog…Yes, please let us know about Mary.

Lorie :: oh no! Sorry that beast of a bug’s got you, too. http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Animals/yeti-002.gif Hope you can nip it before the weekend.

OK, let me get myself moving. Sun's on its way out. BBL!

http://www.freesmileys.org/emo/happy114.gif Just poppin' back in to report my run is done. Enjoyed 4 miles in surprisingly humid temps. And then two speedsters passed me on the final hill. http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/ashamed/ashamed0003.gif Crud. *lol*

Well, hope the sickly cheetahs feel stronger tomorrow. Have a great night, everyone!!
