    Back surgery anyone?

No surgery for me. Doc says it he could not and would not in good conscience do surgery on someone who has no pain and can still function. When I saw the chiroprator last week who threw me out of his office he was telling me I needed surgery asap. The surgeon y'day advised that was propbably...

    Back surgery anyone?

Definitely go SteppingFool! I met with a surgeon today and it was the BEST thing I could have done. What did I learn? Apparently I'm in a somewhat elite club. My back is broken. Literally and technically, broken. He showed me where the bones are sheared. I should NOT be able to walk and...

    Back surgery anyone?

Warning - LONG! Here’s my deal. I’m 50 years old. About 5 years ago I started working with a personal trainer who believed in lifting heavy. So I really wanted to train with her and see if I could re-shape my body. Near the base of my spine (vicinity of L5-S1) I have a ‘bump.’ It’s not...

    Back surgery anyone?

And if so, 1. What was your rehab time before returning to working out? 2. Post-rehab, did you have to modify and if so, how much? I know it depends on the nature and type, but seeking generalizations. Thx!

    Question on hotel block

Well - following some suggestions on FB I went back to the on-line registration site. That says all rooms are booked, and when I called y'day they said all rooms are booked. Cathe has one of her assistants looking into it. Odd. Have you all booked your rooms?

Well ----> there IS the residence inn. Only 20 minutes away. Of course, no lobby parties. Hmmmmm.

    Question on hotel block

Thanks all. I did phone, and they advised that there are no kings, and it looked like everything was booked. The gal I spoke with advised that the group had only set aside a dozen of each and they were all taken.:confused::confused: Now I'm really confused. I'm tempted to phone...

    Question on hotel block

Hi Cathe and Chris. Guess we're rolling toward Glassboro '14! YAY! Thanks again for all you put into these experiences. You are amazing. I have a question about the new hotel block of rooms. In the overview of the RT info it says for the new hotel you've reserved a block, and the rooms are...

    Question for dog owners

Thanks Tina. I'm in a little co-op of raw feeders so it works well, but we're always looking for more ideas on sources - primarily for muscle meat. My Brantley gets mostly kale and asparagus in terms of veggies. He begs for asparagus every morning when I put it into my breakfast smoothie. And...

    Fighter Diet

Pauline is, IMO, a bitch. Her plan is very straight forward, as Mariposa says. Eat a TON of vegetables, sufficient protein, work beyond any and all limitations, real, perceived, drug-induced, whatever, and isolate yourself completely from anything that would distract from these principles...

    Question for dog owners

Hi Justine - and THANKS! Yes, I'm in the U.S. Our pup loves his beef bones and gets all the marrow, etc from them. I'm aiming to feed 80% muscle, 10% organ, and 10% bone. I find that what I'm looking for the most is the muscle meat. Relying on various livers and tripe for the organ source, and...

    Question for dog owners

Hi Cathletes. I've asked over on FB but thought I'd try to tap the wisdom here as well. We have an 8-month old golden retriever. This is the first dog we've had with which we've decided to follow a raw meat diet. I've spent a lot of time researching and understand the ins and outs of it. But I'm...

    Rotation suggestion?

The only thing that helped me get rid of those horrific saddle bags was heavy walking lunges. And I only did/do a heavy leg workout 1x week. So you don't need all that much time. I think you've gotten some really good suggestions here. Good luck.

    colds, viruses, etc.

Re: Oil of Oregano. Fill dropper ~ 1/2 full. Apply one drop outside each nostril, to be absorbed through the skin. The balance of the dropper under the tongue, to be absorbed sublingually. Hold there as long as possible before swallowing down w/ water. Taste dissipates quickly. Follow this...

    colds, viruses, etc.

Oil of Oregano. But I post about it every time someone mentions Rx for cold/sniffle. I use 2x daily and have for last 4 years. Haven't had a sniffle since and I live with 3 young petri dishes. Good luck.
