    Music used in Xtrain?

I just had to chime in on this thread from years ago, because I had a similar issue this morning when I heard "Young Blood by Naked and Famous" while jogging on the treadmill. I knew it was in Hard Strikes, but didn't know the name of the song or band. Finally, I typed "ya, ya, ya, ya in...

Chapter option missing from Workout Manager?

Oh thanks so much! Perfectly acceptable workaround, and really, really appreciate the speedy (and late night) reply. :-)

STS 2.0 Wall hooks for tubing.

So people aren't using the door anchor thing? That's what I purchased and intend to use. Then I can position as necessary. Is it not as good?

Chapter option missing from Workout Manager?

Am I the only one who is no longer seeing the Chapter option on the Workout Manager? I was hoping to use the workout cards from the STS 2.0 online guide, but alas the print is small and I don't need the Date column. I would like to create my own, but hoping to copy the chapter info from the...

Cathe's STS 2.0 Body Parts Shoulders Workout

Is it weird to say this looks brutal and painful, but I can't wait? Shoulders are always my challenge. :-)

Pushups with boss bands versus knees?

I do think there is more core involvement with the band versus doing them on your knees. Especially my lower back feels it when I am in that full plank position. Something I just have to work on I guess. Even yesterday I did Cardio Supersets, and always the hardest part of that workout for me is...

Video Clip Of Cathe's STS 2.0 Back Workout

I did Pyramid Upper Body today, and boy did I fail on the biceps (again). Gosh...you start out so strong, and then what happens?

Pushups with boss bands versus knees?

So just as an update on my total wimpiness, I did the 16 and 14 count reps, then ditched the band, went to my knees, and finished the rest of the drop set that way. So hopefully it was helpful that at least I got the first 30 in with the band-assisted, full-body option.

Pushups with boss bands versus knees?

I have been intrigued by the clips showing the use of the orange boss band for assisting full-body pushups and done some experimental tries and really surprised how much it helps. I am going to tackle Gym Style Chest & Triceps this morning to see if I can get through the entire drop set of...

Blast from the past! Body Max - the original

I find the original Body Max surprisingly tiring, but fun! But Body Max 2 is probably my all-around favorite Cathe workout. It has everything I am looking for in a workout, and the music is very fun.

STS 2.0 is so full of options that there is something for everyone!

I find that talcum powder is great for getting rid of the stickiness. So once the band starts sticking to itself, I rinse with water, then pat dry, lay it out flat, and sprinkle with baby powder (both sides).

Cathe and Kristin doing a wall anchor lat pull-down with both green & black tubing in the STS All Upper Body#2 workout

Just curious: is anyone thinking about just putting a pullup bar over the door and looping the tubing around that?

    DVDs with Barre workouts.

This entire post is inspiring, but I really agree with "trying not to compare my "now" self with "past" self." That is my biggest challenge as well. One of the things I do now (that I never thought I would do) is pause the workout and get my breath back, then resume. I finally adopted this...

Any chance of including a foam rolling segment in STS 2.0?

Thanks so much Aqua Girl. I have such a hard time finding the information on her Facebook page, so appreciate the information! I've been wondering about foam rolling since my cross country running son came home with one 7 years ago. Now he has quite a collection of all different types (some...

Any chance of including a foam rolling segment in STS 2.0?

I am so excited about this new series! I have been through STS 3 times, and each time I've just loved it. But since you are creating a new series, I've been wondering for some time if you've considered including a foam rolling segment? I know they are supposed to be excellent tools for...

I would love for you to make a foam rolling video

Actually so glad I found this thread, because this is exactly the suggestion I was going to make! I have been reading about foam rolling and would like to try it, but seems like technique is important and also to not overdo it. In the meantime, if anyone has suggestions for helpful videos, I...

Calling all 60 year old and older Cathletes

I feel like I could have written this same exact reply. I turned 60 in August, and feel the same about both appearance and fitness. Also, X Train is hands down my favorite also. I just started my 4th time through the 90-day rotation on 1/1/2022, and can't recommend it enough. That being said...

    Party Rockin' Step #1 & #2 Question

Each step workout has 6 segments, and they are all done on the main workout and then put together at the end. The premixes take step segments from each of the workouts and mix and match them in different ways. I just love both of these step workouts, and frequently do the premixes where they...

Suggestions for Cathe workouts for recovery week?

So this is a great discussion for me, because I am not about killing myself every day. Since you mentioned you like step for steady state cardio, I will say I really enjoy Step Sync as a recovery workout. I know there are the two parts where she slows the pace to teach a move, but now I take...

    STS Check in

Way behind most of you, but today I did Disc 16, and was surprised how effective the "back off" sets were. At first, I was thinking "reduce by 40%"? And the first few reps are just so light, but boy did they add up quickly. Very interesting, and fun to change things up.
