Who makes the best heart rate monitors

I have the ft4 and I am happy with it. I Like that I can change the batteries my self. For some of the other polar models (older ones I think) you have to send it to the manufacturer to have the battery changed. I like my chest strap because the transmitter is small and the rest of the strap is...

    Tonique - The Basics

Gobias I finally got around to trying Tonique. I did not work out much this past month so I feel a bit deconditioned.last week, I started with addicted to movement: the express workout (16 min) followed by sway (10min). My average heart rate for express was 163 and max of 181. This is similar...

    Any ex-runners?

I also used to run. I thought I was training smart. I joined a running clinic. I did a few half marathons. I injured my back (bulging disk) and it took a long time to heal. I even saw a neurologist who advised me not to run anymore. After I recovered, I started low impact training. I now do high...

    STS user's guide

You can find rotations in the workout manager and also do your one rep max in workout manager and print off workout sheets. I got the downloaded user guide when i purchases sts and never used it.

    Tonique - The Basics

I just researched tonique but I have not tried them yet. On totalfitnessdvds.com there is mire info on the workouts. For the newer ones, the difficulty is not in order of release. It says that addicted to movement is to prepare for born to move and femme fatal is a continuation of born to move...

    T25 reviews

For turbofire there is a 'new to class" option I where she explains the choreography slowly before each segment. I have heard of other people that did not enjoy it because they found it too hard to follow. I did not think That it was that difficult but you for have to know her terms for cuing...

Need Help Getting Back Into the Groove

I agree with the last post about the lis having fast moves with lots of shoulder work. I injured my back a few years ago (not related to working out) and when I started working out again I found that lifting slow helped me focus on proper form. I did not lift as heavy as recommended when doing a...

    List of series?

If you go to the Cathe.com site and then shop and dvds, it lists the dvds in order of newest to oldest it looks like. From the covers, you can tell which were released at the same time. Not all are series. I Think having a list of dvds by type would be useful. For example: step, box, heavy...

    Beachbody 21 Day Fix

Thanks. The link works for me. According to the spreadsheet salmon would fall under fish (protein 3/4 cup serving) but I feel like it should also count as oil (in my opinion). I'm not sure if the guide explains this better. Maybe someone with the program can clear this up.

    Tonique

Thank you for the reviews. I can't wait to get these now.

    Tonique

Yes. It was these additional workouts that convinced me to buy it. I think that it is 3.5 hour total video time. It wasn't much more for shipping between 1 and 2 dvds so I figured I may as well get two.

    Tonique

I just ordered addicted to movement and born to move from totalfitnessdvds. I think I will try to incorporate 1-2 workouts per week. I'm still slowly working through sts and I think tonique will be a nice contrast to sts.

    Pots and pans

I also have non-stick ceramic frying pans from Wal-Mart (brand paderno). I really like them and they are under $30. I didn't research the safety but maybe I should have. It seems that everything has safety issues these days. Maybe the raw food dieters are on to something.

Did my first unassisted chin up!!

That's great! Doing chin ups is one of my workout goals. How did you work up to it?

    Tonique

Has anyone tried the Tonique workouts? I thought they looked a bit silly when I first looked them up but they have gotten good reviews elsewhere. They are very different from cathe but I feel like I need a change. She seems to do a lot of bent over moves and I'm a bit worries about how these...

    Turbo Fire.

I really like TF for cardio. The band workouts are not advanced enough for me. I'm not good at following rotations so I can't comment on results. I would use these combined with cathe weight lifting workouts.

    Apartment exercising (vent!)

I have been in an apartment where the upstairs neighbour has a treadmill. It's actually pretty loud. Maybe there is a way to reduce the noise of the step. I put mine in a yoga mat so that it doesn't slip on my wood floor and it also reduces the sound. I think others have talked about something...

    ReZist Workout, anybody heard this?

I haunt heard of this. It looks ok but overpriced in my opinion...$59.99 for a 35 minute workout? Maybe I'm missing something...is this a bunch of 35 minute workouts? I would be interested to learn more if anyone has tried it. I like this type of workout that uses light resistance and is high...

    question about meso 2 rest

Thanks. The cathe article explains it well. Maybe I should increase my weights too. I did one rep max testing a long time ago so perhaps I have gained strength since then.
