    About My New Workout Series

I am curious if there is info on the new series anywhere other than this thread. The original post said an official announcement would be made early in the new year, so I'm wondering if I'm not looking in the right place for it.

    wrist weights for micro-loading?

Has anyone tried wrist weights for micro-loading? I have Cathe's 2 lb gloves, but find that I can't swap the weights out quickly since it's a pretty tight fit. I usually leave 1 lb in each glove and just make 1 lb adjustments. Trying to add more weight usually requires me to pause the...

    Breast biopsy - scared

Hi Anne, I just had the lumpectomy. I had 3 tumors (2 known at the time of surgery, one that was detected in the pathology) and the largest was just over 2cm. So they were relatively small and located in a way that allowed for the lumpectomy. My surgeon and oncologist told me that...

    Breast biopsy - scared

Hi Anne, My surgery was about 2 1/2 weeks after my diagnosis. In the time between those dates, I had an MRI & I think I met with my surgeon twice. They also had me see a plastic surgeon to consider a mastectomy. My tumors were Grade 1, the lease aggressive. If yours is the same, that may be...

    Breast biopsy - scared

Hey Anne, Sorry to hear of your diagnosis. The one year anniversary of my diagnosis is the end of this week. I can completely identify with the surreal feeling you are having, I also never thought I'd be dealing with a serious disease. I just want to offer my support and let you know that...

    Breast Cancer

Hi Jen, I was taking the Claritin about 1 hour before the injection deployed and then for about 4 days after. I found that it really did help with the bone pain that I experienced after my first round. You're welcome for the L-Glutamine recommendation. I'm wishing you the best as you go...

    Breast Cancer

Hi Jen, I'm sorry you have to go through this. I also had a breast cancer diagnosis last April and went through chemo and radiation that completed just before Thanksgiving. I'm a huge fan of your blog and have marveled at the number of workouts you manage to get in. This will serve you...

breast cancer surviver and need help

Hi PomsR#1, I also spent most of last year in BC treatments (lumpectomy, 4 rounds of TC chemo, & 35 radiation treatments). I completed radiation just before Thanksgiving & I'm currently on Tamoxifen. I've been doing Cathe ICE & FitSplit premixes and generally keep the workouts to around 30...

    Sciatica anyone

For about 15 years I've had occasional low back pain that my osteopath has diagnosed as sciatica. My most recent episode was helped greatly by my acupuncturist who attached what I think was a tens unit to the acupuncture needles in the area & also did some cupping on the area. I also have an...

    Menopause

Just a word of caution here to be careful with the supplements. I was diagnosed with breast cancer early this year and just finished my last chemo round 3 weeks ago with 5 weeks of radiation coming up starting in October. I was taking Menopause Support to help with sleep issues. I can't blame...

    I think I dodged a bullet

On Friday, April 21, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. This was a complete shock since I've always been so health conscious. I'm currently doing Cathe's Strong & Sweaty/Ripped with HIIT rotation & hadn't noticed any change in my energy. I'm the one who stays healthy when everyone around me...

Is Vegetarianism the Way to Go?

I've been a lacto-ovo vegetarian (eating eggs & minimal dairy) for about 22 years. I'm 51 now & I think that it has been the right choice for me. I was never much of a red meat eater and after reading a lot of holistic material that advised against red meat, it was easy for me to drop it...

Is Yoga a complete workout to you?

I don't consider yoga a workout, but it is a necessity for me. Without yoga, I experience low back problems, and then I won't be able to handle the cardio & strength workouts. I try to get in two or three routines each week, usually Ultimate Yogi.

Workout Room Decoration --- What would you recommend 4 Plyo ;-)

Making my workout room more Zen was my Christmas present a few years ago. My son painted it a rich tan color & I purchased several metal wall hangings from WorldStock (division of Overstock). Supposedly, the metal art was made by Haitians this was not long after their Hurricane. It's...

    Looking for Opinions

How about the ICE/Xtrain 30 day rotation that's in the ICE user's guide? I've had this one in mind for my pre-summer rotation because I think it will have nice leaning out effects. You might also add in some Muscle Meltdowns to keep up with your STS progress. Burn Sets will also maintain your...

    ICE and then what?

Have you considered Cathe-On-Demand/CatheLive? With on-Demand, you would have access to her entire library. I subscribe to CatheLive & love it. I'm not subscribing to On-Demand, because at the time it began, I already had most of the library & have added everything new since. However, from...

3 years ago today, Cathe made announcement for new videos (from my Facebook feed) so.....

I've been wanting more total body weight workouts modeled after the STS phases (muscle endurance, hypertrophy, strength). If she did a 7 disc series and the weight workouts were 3 of the discs, I'd also like to see a lower body metabolic workout (similar to Cardio Leg Blast), a low impact HIIT...
