    Help: Kettlebell DVD recommendations?

Michael Skoggs SKOGG System (has his own style of KB, fusion between soft and hard style KB) Steve Cotter - he has a lot of instructional video clips on youtube. He is the best (IMHO) for form, instruction, and safety. (Steve is considered soft style KB, which is used for Girevoy...

    KB recs?

Laura Ilaria's dvds are great but they work at a slower and deliberate pace. Ilaria is great for improving technique and form. You won't get the same cardio w/o as Tracey Staehl or Susan Chung. I have The Kung Fu Kickboxing workout. I used it once. It is drill based and deliberate. My...

    Horizontal conditioning with bad wrists?

Other than the modifications you are already making Sandra does not offer any suggestions other than work up to the more difficult exercises over time. Horizontal Conditioning : Horizontal Conditioning How bad is your wrist? Is it a chronic injury? Or will something like Tiger Paws help...

    Horizontal Conditioning?

These are challenging and unique. I think which dvd you start with depends upon your upper body and core strength. If you do not modify for push ups, planks, and stability ball pikes then I'd start with any of the Volumes. Otherwise you might consider starting with "Getting Stronger" and...

    Horizontal Conditioning?

Thanks for the code. I may have to buy the entire library. Yes, shoulders do get worked, too. It is probably best not to do Vol #4 and Bootcamp on upper body w/o days. :D

    Horizontal Conditioning?

Insert them any where - on your cardio days or your legs days or on their own, but don't do them on the same day as chest and triceps. :D Is there a promo code?

Any Forty-Somethings out there who are struggling?

I have some loose skin from having three children, but it is only noticeable when I am in downdog, otherwise I don't have a pooch either. Like JT posted up-thread - it takes vigilance with diet and exercising the core 3-5x a week. :D

Any Forty-Somethings out there who are struggling?

LOL! :D Many of the items that made my list also made me feel like crap. Eliminating them made such an immediate and noticeable improvement I never miss them or yearn for them. Fruit - well - that was the last BIG break-through. It made the list for 3 reasons. I noticed a huge difference in...

Any Forty-Somethings out there who are struggling?

Indeed! However, as you pointed out, "It is pretty amazing how quickly your body remembers the way it used to move" and I'll add, the body also seems to have a remarkable (and miraculous) ability to heal itself. I, too, am doing more yoga, and since I am doing less depleting forms of...

Another book thread - Hmmm I wonder what Clare's reading?

I am so glad you stopped by Nancy. :D Clare - [confession] I am only 60% through Mrs. Dalloway. I am disappointed that life has interfered with my need to read. By the time I pick up the thread of the story, again, my eyes are fluttering shut and the light is swiftly switched off. I'll get...

Best way to monitor fitness improvements?

Nancy! How are you? Where is your salad avatar? :D:D I like gadgets too...sometimes. It is fun, inspiring and encouraging to "see" your progress via facts and not just arbitrary sensations. I have a polar HRM. It syncs to the Polar website. I used to love keeping results of various...

    Shoulder Strain

YES! Do not do any weight lifting or any body weight exercises until your shoulder is 110% better. If your shoulder pain persists see a doctor or physical therapist.
