Taking it to the Max-- June 2013 thru...

Hello Everyone, I am just getting back from a week in Berlin, and the previous week was very hectic with my new job. It's certainly a bazillion times busier and more crazy than my last job. The person who I am replacing has left a real mess of things, and everything is on the verge of...

WOW! Thanks, Cathe! This looks like an amazing rotation. I was one of those hoping for an updated Rock Bottoms rotation so I am very excited to see this. I will put it in the queue for after the new year.

    Just Need Plain Old Help

Hello Annabelle2, Firstly, I congratulate you for recommitting yourself to fitness. It's not easy to carve out the time to take care of yourself, and I wish you all the best! I wanted to add that I achieved great results doing the LIS series rotation that was posted. Cannot recall what month...

Hello Everyone, Good to hear from you Ladylep. I am not surprised to hear you are super busy, as usual.:p You and Katie amaze me with your stamina! I think Cathe's basic rule of thumb is a rest day after 6 days, so it's no surprise you were tired and needed a break! Kudos to you for getting...

Hello Everyone, Renee, I am so sorry to hear that you are still having issues at your job...in fact, it seems it is escalating. If you can afford to take the time off, then do so. That will be a nice break for you. You certainly do not need any additional stress in your life right now...

Greetings, Sorry I've been MIA for the last week or so. Renee, I am just sending you a great big hug! Nothing I say can really address your grief or loss, so just know that I am continuing to keep your family in my thoughts. I am sorry about Rocky's dating issue. Dating is such a drag, I...

How to get Muscle Definition in my arms

Hello, I will issue the standard disclaimer that everyone is different, but I personally saw definition by doing STS, but I was up to bicep curls with 20-25# dumbbells and a 35# barbell. You did not say how much you were lifting when you did STS, so I am not sure how heavy you're lifting. I...

Hello Everyone, Checking in with more TA. I'm on Day 25 of my rotation and have 5 more days on level 1. Then I move on to the next 30 day cycle, which has progressive workouts every 10 days. I really like the way this TA program is structured. It keeps your body guessing, and I'm doing well. My...

I love Cardio Leg Blast! It reminds me of STS Plyo Legs, which was one of my favorite workouts. I like the alternating weights with plyo format. That workout is a doozy, though. I am spent when it is done.

Hello Everyone, Renee, congratulations to you on running and finishing the 5K. One minute from your goal time is excellent, so please don't be down on your accomplishment...consider what you had to go through mentally to even get yourself down to the race yesterday. I'm sorry you were not...

Hello Everyone, Renee, good luck on your 5K this weekend, if I don't chat with you beforehand. I will be thinking of you! How are you doing? Ladylep, I hope you guys are all doing well and that the plague has not come down over your house! It's hard to stay healthy with little kids around...

    Video recommendation??

Hi Parias, Glad that you found Cathe workouts, and I hope you like them! From what you've shared so far about what you like and what you're looking for, I would recommend Kick, Punch Crunch, which is an earlier kickboxing workout. I have done combat and like those workouts too, so I think KPC...

Homemade Bread (extended from Yogurt Thread)

Hi Nathalie, Congratulations on your two successful loaves! It's so satisfying when you pull that loaf out the oven and it comes out well...even though I've been making bread for years, I'm always keeping my fingers crossed until the end because bread can be very fickle. If you care to...

Homemade Bread (extended from Yogurt Thread)

Hi Nathalie, Unfortunately I know absolutely zero about soy flour in bread. I've never used it, so I don't have anything to add here. I did a quick Google search, though, and found these sites: Soy flour bread – mini loaves | bitter baker Soy flour | The Fresh Loaf. The second link, to...

Please talk to me about nutrition/diet & why weights are good for women.

Hi Candace, congrats on the changes you are already making. You are already off to an excellent start!! Glad the SO did not complain about the ww pasta. It's so much easier to make these kind of changes when you've got a supportive person at home with you too. Regarding your question about...

Please talk to me about nutrition/diet & why weights are good for women.

Mariposa, I'm sorry you are tempted by these foods because your family eats them. I have been in your shoes and there is no easy solution. All you can do is eat healthy foods to nourish your body, and that help you accomplish your fitness goals. If your husband and son are willing to eat healthy...
