I bet that felt great Jody! Last week we cycled a lot on our favorite trails. Now back to snow. A yogabody.com ad kept popping up on FB. After researching I think it’s what I need, they call it gravity yoga, basically holding poses for 5 min to increase flexibility. I’m doing their 21 day...

Hi ladies! Just flying by to say hi. Suki’s doing well. We are spoiling her rotten. Driving to different parks a couple times a day for her to have her 1/3 mile walk (it’s all she can do before she gets winded). She starts running like a bat outta you know where, smelling like crazy, then...

Thx Jody, Yea, I’m sure this person meant it in a nice way, it’s just that I was so raw with emotion as we navigated this road. Suki is thriving, we’re modifying her exercise excursions. I’m happy when I see her happy!

Jody, You probably didn’t see any post saying outright that we amputated. It’s been emotional, and in one comment on a post, I did divulge amputation, and the response back was NNNNNNOOOOOOO. that hurt for some reason. So I’ve kept quiet and only let a couple of friends who kept privately...

Jody, nice pic! Yay you! We have researched, gotten more medical info re: Suki, and are leaning toward amputation. Making the decision isn’t easy. Surgery scheduled for Wed. But we aren’t ready to say which way we are leaning yet, but I did join an amputation forum.

Quick post….bad news with Suki for her recheck X-ray. Pardon my copy and paste from my Peloton group, I’m exhausted but wanted to update you all. HI girls, I had a tough day re: vet…..X-rays said Suki’s fracture refractured. So that’s why she’s been limping so much since the plate was...

I’ve been remiss in posting. I’ve actually didn’t want to scare anyone of my side effects from booster vax. Awful. Then was waiting for ‘the word’ that Suki was finally healed. As you know from FB, she had the last surgery to remove the plate. We have fingers crossed that once she’s all...

Hi all, Day 6 of the new antibiotics and “blisters” look a bit better. Still yucky though. They think she’ll have to be on them for at least 4 weeks and in the meantime we need to get the plate removed because they think she is rejecting it, hence the infection. So we have that scheduled...

Tracy, how did Riley get an infection? We are still having issues with Suki. So the one spot healed but then more “blisters” all on the inside of her leg. NOT where the incision was. And really can’t walk, in obvious pain. So we had an appt with our regular vet for annual stuff (and she...

Hi ladies! Good to hear from you all! Jody, you made me laugh with Ef it. Oura is interesting and trying to learn. I did find that Magnesium Glycinate (instead of the mag I was taking ) and glycine improve my HRV by from 50 to 100. Not sure why that’s good though :) Mary, that is a lot of...

Jody, I’m still learning about what oura tells you. What is your avg hRV? Mine is around 50, Rhr 56. I joined a oura FB group to read some hints , it got me taking melatonin, seems to help my REM. When I wake up at 2am, I always say to myself, go back to sleep and get ya some good REM ( I’ve...

Hi all, sorry to be MIA. By the time I think to post here I’m too tired! Yes, Suki broke her leg running scared through the house by fireworks. We are now at 6 weeks post plate surgery. She’s still limping but X-rays a week ago looked like plate was good. We go at 8 weeks for another X-ray...

HI Tracy, We have been having very pleasant weather, maybe a bit rainy, but 70s and low 80s. I tend to love my peloton over the outdoor rides now but still get in a couple outdoor rides a week, if only for Suki. She loves strutting her stuff through our town. We can only get her to walk...

Yea for no surgery Mary! How are you doing on the steroids? My friend (she’s 75) just had a knee replacement, it’s been slow going for her. It’s so hard getting older! Once in a while a bear will wander down but not too often. I hate cliques, I feel i’m always on the outside looking in...

So yesterday power went out right as I was hopping on peloton with my group, oh well, DH and I decided to take the ride outside even though it was hot already at 7am, I’m...

Just a quick fly by, good to hear from you Jody! I think I saw some of those pics from your snorkel trip, so cool! Good on you for all you’re committing to! And amazing being a go-go gadget mom! Good luck to DD! I think my hip injury is finally getting better, it took being sensible...

Not too much going on here. I’ve decided to be sensible with cycling…..back story, since Jan my right hip is hurting…..piriformus? Or maybe hamstring. Hurt only after cycling when stretching, I tried to cut back. I thought my outdoor bike it wasn’t as bad since I don’t push myself as hard...

HI everyone, I failed to come here because I get tired of trying to type with my thumbs. Enter a new (well new to me IPad) with a keyboard so thought I’d say hi. My reaction to shots were same as what I’ve read, I spent the day on the couch aching down to my toes. I just had my first big get...
