    Leaner Legs DVD?

Thank you! Have you done Leaner Legs? I don't have that cross train express dvd and was thinking that Legs & Glutes from the Body Blast series might be a good sub for that rotation. Appreciate your help.

Gym Style or Slow & Heavy?

You can't go wrong with either GS or S&H. I have used both series, and I tend to use the GS more often only bc it seems that the time goes faster in these workouts. Plus I love the stability ball and floor work in GS legs. My preference is working legs alone one day, then back/bi's, then...

lifting with VERY light weights post injury??

Hi Cathe, I really enjoy your DVD's and have gotten great results over the past years with them. I have always lifted between 65%-80% 1 rep max, depending on the workout. I recently underwent surgery to repair tennis elbow. I am 8 wks out and allowed to slowly begin upper body weights, but...

How do I keep upperbody tone while sidelined with injury?

My Dr has never given me a wrist splint, only a forearm strap which I didn't have any relief from. I see your point though, perhaps I'll try that. They injury started after doing leviation holds from the core max dvd. I felt this awful pain and then and couldn't do any push-ups/rolls in on...

suggestions for making your own frozen dinners

suggestions for making your own frozen dinners

I travel a lot...and when left alone my busy husband will just eat whatever he finds easy, not always healthy. I was going to cook ahead and freeze his meals, but has anyone done this? Can you freeze cooked rice or baked potatoe? What about steamed vegs? Does this stuff all get soggy when you...

    I need a new diet....

you gotta check out Makeovermybody.com It's not a "diet" but rather clean eating. My sister did it and the results were quick and amazing. She emailed me the menu cards and it's so easy to follow and the results are real. Basically eat nothing processed. The website has forums and you...

How do I keep upperbody tone while sidelined with injury?

thanks for your encouragement. It is so hard to rest an injury...which is probably why this has become chronic. I had thought about re-starting with PUB & light weights after it heals, sounds like that worked for you. How long did it take you to increase in weight?

How do I keep upperbody tone while sidelined with injury?

Hi Cathe, Thank you for all your GREAT dvds! They give results like nothing else. I am nursing a (chronic) tennis elbow injury and just had steroid injections again. I have too much pain to do any upper body work. Do you have any suggestions - isometric exercises - or any ideas how to...

    physic 57 v Lotte Berk

I had to try Physic 57 after hearing all the reviews about it. Although I have been a complete Cathe follower for many years with amazing results. Bottom line - it's a lot of isometric bar work. The instructor, unlike what I was used to with Cathe, is over the top with her silly comments...

    STS for gastric bypass patient?

congratulations to you. My husband is a surgeon and the patients he sees back in his office after this surgery are only successful in their weight loss if they have the discipline and committment to stick with a healthy eating plan too. So you must truly be disciplined, which will lend itself...

    Tendonitis in elbow

Oh I feel so bad for you! I developed epichondylitis after 2 months into STS....same deal, no pull ups, push ups or anything that required my elbows basically. Aside from exercises at Physical therapy, I rotated GS legs, Pyramid lower body and butts & guts and did core work until it...

Did anyone actually gain POUNDS in STS??!!

Hi Clarissa, I have experienced exactly what you are decribing...I dont' feel like STS is leaning me out like the other workouts did to my body. It's like my body responded - or I got the results I wanted- with muscle endurance, drill max, leaner legs ect. I'm miffed by this but I think...

Really good Crockpot Steel Cut Oats

sounds good. I used Steel oats for a while, then switched back to instant...just b/c of time. However, I thought the whole reason for using steel oats v instant was b/c of the sugar content in the instant oats. So isn't it defeating the purpose to add in sugar? I LOVE brown sugar in...
