    Seriously...About Ice Cream

It's some kind of hideous shellfish like a clam or oyster. I find them repugnant but they are definitely something Rhode Islanders pride themselves on. 99 percent of what happens in the state is an embarrassment, so pride in one's quahogs is understandable I guess. :D Know what else I...

    Seriously...About Ice Cream

I was born in Rhode Island so coffee milk, clam fritters, quahogs, and Wright's (all you can eat) Chicken Farm. :)

Closure..and yes, that was my post.

Man, I am such an out-of-the-loop nerd...I know we've had our topic smack-downs over the years but I had no idea any of this kind of thing was going on over the years...I thought I was in Mayberry when really it's like Knots Landing up in here. :D Laura, if you're not gonna use your b-day can...

CC and Coach Sean = the Michele bat signal. :D

    Who's Kicking Your Patoot Today?

For me it was Coach Sean, #7. That whole 10, one minute intervals alternating sprints/climbs challenge slays me every time! Anyone else? :D

    Carnie Wilson annoys me

Hee hee, I've had the experience myself! Red peppers here are 2 for $5 which seems like a bargain compared to what others seem to be paying! Peppers are one of the few things I don't buy organic. I suffer the pesticides and dream of the day I'm no longer po'. :D

    Carnie Wilson annoys me

Organic peppers are REALLY expensive! ITA with that. But there's a lot of other healthy things $8 can be spent on in between organic peppers and mac and cheese/cookies. In general I don't think healthy eating is expensive, especially if meals are kept simple and basic. We're on a tight budget...

    Carnie Wilson annoys me

This. I don't mean to be unsympathetic to people trying to lose weight (I've been heavy, I know what it's like) but frankly I'm just tired of all the blah blah blah whining about it. OK, you don't like to work out, you don't like depriving yourself, you hate cooking, healthy food is too...

    Kevin Smith/Southwest - whattaya think?

The news report I heard said that he had - and normally does - purchase two seats but this time they had to change planes and he did not have that option (there were not two seats together? Something like that.) Anyway, I don't think it's appropriate to humiliate people in public. That said, I...

Foods you're too scared to try?

Count me in with those who won't eat an eyeball. Thinking about it I would also not eat liver, tongue or testicles.

Foods you're too scared to try?

I've eaten some odd things (camel, rattlesnake) so I'll pretty much try anything except grubs or worms or larvae, things like that. :D I'm more afraid of some of the things I see advertised by Taco Bell. It all looks like deep-fried glop to me. How about this? It's bacon and ground...

    Dog Bite

Sorry this happened to you. I have to say that the unpredictability of situations like this is the reason I've always been a bit frightened of dogs. That said, the dog bites I know of happened when the dogs felt unsure of themselves/the situation and reacted according to instinct. I doubt...

    I'm so HOT!!!!

I've been getting hideous night sweats for a while now (I'm 40), at least since my mid-thirties. They are more regular now and much worse during PMS. The sheets get soaked through. Also when I had Lyme Disease it was unbearable. I too chalk it up to creeping menopause.

    Interesting quote from Jillian

I agree too. The times in my life when my ego has taken a beating have always led to self-reflection and positive changes. :)
