    Intense workouts = Heart Palpitations

I posted about this about a month ago. The only difference is that mine was skipped heartbeats. Since then, I have had every heart test imaginable...all normal...except that I do still have the beats and the doctor thinks its a body adjustment or some type of anxiety/stress, since they are...

    Heart Palpitations

Hi cataddict, I was not given a stress test, and the doctor said that he did not think that the holter test was necessary for now. He said to wait it out and if they progressed or got worse, then to come back and see him. They have not gotten worse---in fact, they have lessened. Maybe the...

    Heart Palpitations

Thank you all! I had no idea how common they were until I posted! I'm so glad I did! I am still worried, but just "less worried" now that I have had an EKG and blood work done. I think the worry I am feeling now is just based on my own anxiety, or as tneah said, "it's all in my noodle"...

    Heart Palpitations

Hi everybody, Thank you for your comments. I am not on any medications, but yes, I am under some pretty heavy stress---just due to typical everyday life stuff---I just bought a house, am working 2 jobs...etc...Since the doctor gave me the "okay", I feel better...but of course, if they don't...

    Heart Palpitations

Hi everyone, I recently had a physical because I was having heart palpitations, which felt like my heart was skipping beats. I have no history of heart problems in my family. The doctor did blood work, an EKG and an overall physical and said I was in great health. He then explained that...

    I am offended

    >Forgive me for posting in this forum, not exactly the right >place but... >This post left me scratching my head and all I can say is that >I hope you won't remove the quotation Carolyn. I second that, Beavs. This is just foolish and ridiculous.

    I am offended

This quote is anything but offensive. In fact, it is clearly stating the opposite...My take on it was that it is putting everyone on an equal level...I suppose it is open to interpretation, but I would say that calling it offensive or racist is a stretch.

    Standing ab ideas??

Have you ever heard of the DVD called "Hip Hop Abs"? You would get some great ideas from there...all standing ab exercises...Don't let the "hip hop" part fool you...a lot of these moves could be used in a traditional muscle conditioning class.

    Does Anybody Wear Wigs?

Hi Bam, I wore those fake ponytails that you can buy at the stands in the mall...for at least two years straight! I became dependent on them because they were so easy to put on and use...I have since cut my hair quite short (actually, Katie Holmes just recently went out and got my...

How many classes per week for instructors to teach?

Ya' know, that's a good question.... I didn't think to ask if she was only referring to cardio, but I believe that she was, because the question came up while another member was asking about how many kickboxing classes a week would be safe for her to teach. There are some instructors that I...

How many classes per week for instructors to teach?

Hey Christine, When I took my AFAA certification last year, the instructor advised that the maximum classes they recommend is seven per week. I'm not sure if that's changed in the past year. I'm not sure if I agree with it, especially if the classes are different types...I think teaching...

How about a gift for a man age 80+

    Gift for my boss?

Hey everyone, I have been working for my boss for four years...we have an excellent working relationship and he is very generous at Christmas time. In the past, I have gotten him gift certificates to Brooks Brothers, Home Depot, and golfing gifts (he is an amateur pro), but this year, I am...

    age of marriage

Regardless of the age, SHE HAS ONLY KNOWN HIM FOR FOUR WEEKS!!! Isn't that enough of a reason to be totally against this? I know you mentioned that she is over 18 and that you are letting her make her own decisions, but I can tell you that, if I tried something like this, my mother would lock...
