    Scaitica

Oh Amy, I'm so sorry. I've been there and I know you think you will never do anything normal again! It's awful and as everyone else has said, pain relievers and even muscle relaxers don't do more than just take the edge off. I want to try an inversion table, a chiropractor suggested it to help...

    How much before others notice?

Thanks gals, I ask because in all honesty I probably will gain a little over Thanksgiving and Christmas. Like I said, it's always the same 10 pounds that I put on and take off again;) Good luck to us all over the holidays!

    How much before others notice?

How much weight loss or gain does it take for other people to notice? I've lost and gained the same 10 pounds over a couple of times now and just wonder if it's drastic enough to see a difference. I still fit into all the same clothes, just a little tighter or looser at times...

    Cathe: THE LOW IMPACT SERIES....CONSIDERATION??

Amen, amen! I've had surgery on both knees and they can't take Low Max no matter how much I feel like doing it; I always regret it afterwards. I wonder how Cathe would keep up the intensity without all the squatting/lunging though?

    Someone remind me

the website you plug in your ingredients for a recipe and it calculates the nutrition facts? I've done it before maybe on a couple of different sites even, but forgot to bookmark any of them!

    Injured and soooo depressed

Just popping in to say I feel your pain too! When I have been injured and unable to exercise it makes me so grumpy and the husband just doesn't get why. Rest up and start back in slow:).

I'm in Shape Magazine (+ Cathe mention)!!

Sandra, I live in UT county also and saw you on the news yesterday just coincidentally. I got excited when I recognized you and shouted to the hubs that "one of my Cathe friends is on channel 4!" He gave me one of those "good-for-you-but-I-don't-care" looks :). I was thrilled to see a fellow...

Doc says take it easy on the knees

I feel for you sister! I ignored mine for long enough that I eventually needed surgery. I had my second knee surgery in two years this past summer. I am like you with the higher impact vs. step workouts. I can get through a HIIT and feel ok the next day, but Low Max is another story. I ache for...

You'd think I would have learned by now

Susie! He started off asking me if I knew how to read a sign. What a nice way to insult someone's intelligence, right? I drove past a road closed sign at 7:30 on a Saturday morning; no construction, no traffic, no holes to fall into, etc... I should have just said I was sorry and took the...

You'd think I would have learned by now

I just argued my way INTO a ticket. I think that means I win the loser of the day award. I just hate it though when cops enjoy throwing their weight around so much...

    What is MC2?

Is this the next P90X? If so, I wonder if it will be much different and worth the investment.

    After Dinner Munchies

No suggestions, I just want to commiserate! I am the WORST with this. I think I'm hungry but I know I'm really not, yet I graze the kitchen every night at 10:30. If you find a good trick be sure to post it for other night time munchers like me!

    Runners: when to Gu?

Thank you runners! It did take me just over an hour to finish, maybe next time I'll eat/drink around 60 minutes? I usually don't eat right before, would that be better? I worry about making myself sick though, even if it's just a banana. What are y'all's rituals before/during a longer run?

    Runners: when to Gu?

My weekend runs are getting longer. Yesteday I did 8 miles and it was the first time my legs felt like they were cramping up at the end of the run and my body was going to quit before my lungs. What are the guidelines on when to use sport beans/gu's/electrolyte pills, etc.. ?

    Mud run

I have a friend who's done one in Idaho and loved it! Definitely more work than a regular 10K though!
