I'm benching 65#'s from doing STS

I sometimes have the same thoughts about growing older....wishing my hair was not turning gray and that my skin was not getting wrinkly. But then I remind myself what the alternative to aging is and I'm OK with it. Thanks for posting your success. It provides inspiration, for sure!!!!

    Bunion surgery?

Laura, Laura, Laura! I won't bug you with this again, but you really should not rule out surgery for PF! I have had it on both feet and it was the answer to that particular problem. It sounds like you have the same stubborn issue that I did. I tried EVERYTHING before opting for the surgery -...

Is there anyone who's had PF & found a cure?

I wouldn't be so quick to rule out surgery. I've had it on both feet and am pain free. Oops. Posted before I was done. I was very much like you Laura, with chronic PF and no relief from any of the typical treatments. Really, surgery was the last resort and it fixed me right up.

    Half marathon... Taper off?

Are you not following a plan? If not, I would suggest that you find one online (Hal Higdon is a good resource. Also Runner's World.) and follow the tapering method that best fits your level of training.

    Wen hair care

Liann, My Wen arrived last week and I've used it about 4 times. I like Hair One, but I love Wen. It's weird how it makes my hair feel so clean without any soapy lather. I think it feels cleaner with the Wen than Hair One. My hair is unlike yours, curlyish and coarse, so I can't say that...

    Wen hair care

The Hair One works well on my hair, but the difference it makes with my 10 year old daughter's hair is amazing. It's so much more shiny and feels like silk. She was previously washing and then conditioning her long hair and says that Hair One takes less time and rinses so much easier.

    Wen hair care

Liann, I was in your exact position Monday of last week when I first read this thread. I bought Sally's knock off Hair One and have used it four times. I like it so much that I went ahead and spent $33 and change (including shipping and tax) today on the Ginger Pumpkin Wen. I have...

    Cathe Gear score!

I was browsing through Tuesday Morning and came upon Cathe's 10lb weight vest for $24.99. I also bought Firewalkier Loops for $5.99, but passed on the resistance tubing. I just love finding good fitness deals!

Why can't I use my recumbent bike with CycleMax?

I haven't preordered Cathe's new DVDs yet and I'm trying to decide if I want CycleMax or not. I have a recumbent stationary bike and, until I read Cathe's reply to someone wondering if their recumbent bike would be suitable, I figured that I would at least be able to modify. According to Cathe...

    No S diet

Don't know how many calories I eat a day. When I am trying to drop weight, not much.....probably around 1200 at most. More, of course, when I'm not trying to lose. For breakfast, about 2/3 cup of oatmeal with a T of chia seeds mixed in and 1/2 sliced banana on top along with 3 egg whites...

    No S diet

Five or six small meals a day don't work for me at all. I do much better staying on track when I eat three meals a day, snacking only if I am so hungry that I'm not going to make it to the next meal. When I have tried the mulitiple small meals approach I tended to constantly think about what...

I hiked Angels Landing (long post)

Oh my gosh!! I am so afraid of heights and just mentally imagining the "narrow spine" caused me to vow never to go there! My husband is from Utah. I'm going to ask him if he's ever done this hike..... You are very brave!! :)

    What are your Favorite Hikes?

Hiking to the top and back of Mt. Whitney with my husband last September was equal in the mental experience and physical effort to a full marathon. I hope to take it on again later this year! Another one of my favorites closer to home is hiking down to the beach from the road at Montano de...

    Breast augmentation

You are indeed correct. I am able to wear either a 32 D or a 34 C. (32Ds are hard to find!!) The cup size is the same. The band width is different.

    Breast augmentation

Four breastfed kids here..... I don't regard the procedure so much as augmentation, but rather reconstruction!

Any medical professionals out there who can explain

I say you need a new doctor! When I see my general care MD I have to wait a while, maybe about 45 minutes. But that's OK with me because he is very thorough and spends lots of time with me, so I figure he's doing the same with the patient ahead of me. I've been seen promptly by the two...
