My Success Story
In 2000 I successfully lost 33 lbs doing Cathe, The Firm and Weight Watchers. I was extremely fit. In 2002 I had my daughter and have since backslid. But I will be a success story again!

I've dropped about 9 lbs since the summer and have been holding steady. So a few days ago, I decided to try Dr. Joey Shulman's "The Natural Makeover Diet". It starts with a 5-day non-fasting cleanse. I am on day 4, so just one more day after today. The rules are: 8 glasses of water per day, no grains, no dairy, no alcohol, no caffeine, no white sugar, no white potatoes, no red meat... but you can have fish, veggie burgers, egg whites, protein powder (not sure why that is in there...

I don't have a scale, and haven't been to the gym for a few days because I've had this cold, AND I haven't been doing my workouts ... but I've had no appetite due to the cold. Since I got the Nutrition software on July 20, I've been pretty good with my eating habits, with a few little falls off the wagon but always climbing back on. I had a pretty quick 6-lb weight loss, and since then, it had slowed down a lot, to about 1 lb down every two weeks. Just before I caught the cold, I was starting...

I am a wimpy sick person. I caught a cold on Thursday. It started with a sore throat and progressed to runny nose, to stuffy head, to laryngitis and cough. I feel so sorry for myself! I think I have turned the corner now - I am starting to feel sort of like a human being again (if a deathly ill one).

I have lost a lot of my appetite, so it's been very easy to stay within my calorie allowance in the Nutrition software. On the other hand, I have done ZERO workouts since Thursday...

I'm attending the Can-Fit-Pro conference in Toronto, something I've done every year for the past 15 years except for 2002 when my daughter was born. Kathy Smith was the keynote speaker today. What a nice, warm, down to earth person she was. And, man, she looks great for being (several years) over 50!

I was inspired.

Today I woke up with very low energy. Didn't sleep well last night. I had some weird, very powerful dreams. In one of them, I was walking in a park near my home and turned around to see a man with a knife about to stab me. He looked like Adrian Grenier. I tried to scream but no sound came out. I think I actually really did make some sort of sound - anyway, I woke myself up and had a hard time getting back to sleep.

I did go ahead and do a workout though. I did the Cardio premix...
