My Success Story
- My Success Story
- My weight-loss adventure started after the birth of my son back in the summer of 2005. I let myself go big time. I wasn't happy and i really hated looking in the mirror or seeing myself in pictures. My starting weight was 278lbs and after talking about losing weight for so long, i wanted to START. I wanted to LIVE at my best! So,in the middle of the summer i started moving more and watching what i ate...the lbs started coming off. I remember discovering Cathe's workouts during my first plateau and boy did she blow that plateau away!
So far(feb,2010) ive slowly managed to lose 104lbs. Still got some more weight to lose before i can settle into maintaining.
The keys to my weight loss has been planing. I write down everything i eat, my workouts for that day and if im having a bad day i will keep track of that too. Ive found that planning my meals ahead of time really keeps me on track.
Im NOT perfect by any means. I've learned to indulge in moderation. I will have my slips ever

How are things going for you? You have done so wonderfully. I am trying to be patient b/c I did not put it on right away! I have not been posting b/c I was feeling like the group may not have been right for me. Some of the extreme workouts members would report, the desire expressed to lose more weight when it seemed that was not at all necessary and less than supportive comments thrown at members if they were not able to workout for a couple of days. I just felt that was not supportive or nurturing for what me at this time. Don't get me wrong, I love support and to be pushed. I just felt that some of it was just not psychologically healthy. Just my opinion. You were wonderful though!
