    Your body must be really attached to those 10 pounds! I bet those are the best ten pounds it's ever had and your body just isn't ready to let them go!

    Things are not bad. I've gone through a bout ot ITBS and a really bad flu, but I'm back running and have a 10K coming up next weekend. I'm having fun with my three-month rotation: 1 week full body endurance, 1 week hyerptrophy splits, 1 week kettlebells, 1 week strength splits. Throw in running 3-4 times a week and some extra cardio of other types and it's been a really great rotation.

    What the heck have you been up to? Still working out? How's your relationship with your legs and your neighbours?

After moving up a pound, my weight is now back at 148 point something. I was worried that I was going to move back into the 150s as I was getting pretty careless with the eating. But I got back on track, and am resolved to moving further down the scale. Eventually I'd like to see 140. It took me over a year to see 150 though, so who knows how far I'll get. For now I just want to make sure I stay in the 140s.

Which has been tough. As I write this, the kids are eating McDonald's...

I read yesterday's blog entry and realized that while I say I've lost 85 pounds, I only specifically refer to a 40 pound loss in '08. To those of you troubled by mathematical discrepancies (and who isn't?), I apologize.

I just finished reading through my blog. I thought it would be enlightening to see what I've done, what changes I've made and whether anything has made any kind of difference. The answers: same stuff as always, none and no. And I don't mean that in an angst-y kind of way. I figured out a while ago that my life never really changes that much. So much of my living is done inside my head that even when my environment and circumstances change dramatically, I still experience things the same way....

I weighed 149 today, which was disappointing. Last weekend was a bit of a binge-fest, but on Monday I was still at 148. The scale, however, said that my body fat and water weight were actually a bit lower than when I was at 148. Jeez, how ridiculous is this? I'm parsing out amounts that lie to the right of a decimal point so I can explain away a gain of a pound. Bottom line is if the gain sticks, or increases, then I'll need to figure out what's causing it. For now I should just assume it's...

Yesterday I felt like changing things up a bit and I did one of the legs workouts from STS Meso 2. About 15 minutes into it I remembered that I didn't like Meso 2's leg workouts. I've always had trouble with lunges, and there are approximately 8 billion lunges in Meso 2. You do them with a leg on the step, a leg on a paper plate, a leg going sideways, etc. etc. I did about half the workout, and I'm kind of sore today.
