- I've always admired the way Cathe looks so strong and muscular in her videos, and I always loved the way the figure competitors look, so I decided to enter my first fitness competiton and now I'm hooked!!! I started at 119 pounds and now I'm a solid 107. Cathe also inspired me to become a group fitness instructor and now I teach 3-4 classes a week at my local YMCA

I don't like to waste anything and a lot of my shake ideas come up from whatever I have in my house at the time or a particular craving for dessert I might have. Often I love to use my left over coffee or tea as a base. Another great tip I have is to freeze your fruit that has gotten too ripe because it is the perfect sweetness for a shake plus you don't have to throw out your fruit. I know a lot of you are busy bees like me and find it hard to eat healthy on the go. Alot of my time is spent driving in my car and grilled chicken and broccoli just won't do. One of my favorite things to have on the go is a delicious shake. When I make a shake as a meal replacement I make sure to balance all of the 3 macronutrients which are carbohydrates, protein, and fats. If I am drinking a shake for post recovery weight training I leave out the fat so my depleted muscles can soak up the carbs...
