Recently I found out that Walmart has a bigger-than-normal set of exercize DVDs in stock -- and here I found Jari Love's "Extremely Ripped" (2009).
Jari's later "Ripped" DVDs have been criticized for misleading DVD covers, repetitive exercizes and demonstrators with unrealistic figures. And here, some of the demonstrators wear garish "silver" costumes, and the music is African with bongos, with heavy bass lines.

I had Anni's "Jump Force" (2005) on my shelf for a few months without trying it. So today, though I am still stuggling to get in some sort of shape -- I tried this, and did the first 27 minutes of it. Anni leads a large class (about 12-14 exercizers), alternating among very basic step moves, basic on-the-floor aerobics, rope jumping, and strength moves using light weights. I do not own a jump rope, so I just used an invisible rope -- good if one doesn't want to mess up with the rope....

Today I did the first 37 mins of Cathe's "High Reps" (2010). As I mentioned last month, this is a terrific video -- highly recommended for anyone at any level. It is interesting to do, since Cathe's varies the reps: single count, double count, high-ends, low-ends, etc. for nearly all the lifts.
The DVD can be bought here:

I uppws thw pundage sightly from last time, for a few of the lifts:

Today I had to struggle to get to my excercize room -- and I did the first 30 minutes (the first workout) of the companion DVD from yesterday: KCM's "30 Minutes to Fitness: Bootcamp" (2008).
Like the "Muscle Endurange" DVD from yesterday, this is a very good video. The strong points are that it is an intermediate-advanced workout if one follows the two lead exercizers, and beginner-intermediate if one follows the modifier. (Collage rates it as "intermediate"...

I keep skipping workouts! Due mostly to laziness and lack of motivation (any encouragement would be appreciated). Here, I do KCM's "30 Minutes to Fitness: Muscle Definition" (2009).
This is an excellent video. Other have quibbled about the "intermediate" rating -- but this set of two workouts can be done by anyone, beginner to advanced, just by varying the poundage (two sets of dbs are used in this video). Kelly even includes a modifier, for beginners.
