- Why I love doing Cathe Workouts
- Cathe's workouts are always challenging, and she is a terrific motivator. Just when I'm about to give up, she pushes me to work harder. On those rare days when I make it through an entire workout, I am dripping with sweat and totally spent, but feel fantastic!
- How I found out about Cathe Workouts
- First learned about Cathe while browsing CollageVideo.com. Her DVD's looked hardcore, and it took me several years to work up the courage and finally give one a try. Kept thinking I would work up to Cathe's level gradually, but found I got bored with the beginner level workouts. Decided the only way to work up to Cathe's level was to pick up a DVD and start jumping & pumping.
- When I began doing Cathe Workouts
- 2006, I think.
- Interests
- Love to work out! Also -- stained glass and motor sports.
- Occupation
- office manager at a state university

Yeah, ok, so it's been nearly I month since I blogged here.
Bad, bad, bad. All my blogging energy has been going elsewhere.
Well, I did make it through the final two weeks of Meso 3, although it took me three weeks to do it. The extra week was due partly to a sudden lack of motivation made worse by fatigue, due in large part to a lousy diet. Also, distractions caused by events both within and outside my control. You know -- life.
At any rate, I finished...

Got through Chest & Back (Disc #28) workout on Monday. A good, solid workout. Stuck with target weights, or went higher. I'm surprising myself on Barbell Rows. Target weight was 40, and I could do 50 fairly easily. Stuck with 65 pound target weight for Barbell Rows, and focused hard on form. Lower reps help. Target weight for chest flies was 19 pounds, but I rounded it up to 20. Thinking I could have gone a bit higher. Will try to push it harder next time. Followed it up with the Extended...

Alrighty! Friday wound up being a rest day. Did the Shoulders, Biceps & Triceps workout on Saturday. Went much better than expected. Had to figure out target weights as I went, and did a decent job of it. Pleasantly surprised at how heavy I could go on Standing Barbell Front Presses. Those gave me fits in earlier Meso's. I'm sure they'll still be tough next time through STS, but I do feel like I've made gains.

Completed STS #37 on Wednesday. Leg work with the squat rack. I'm still not sure what to think about the workout. Used weights that were at or near my targets, and wore a 10 lb vest for squats and lunges. I lifted heavy, and worked hard, and even though I was sweating and breathing hard by the end, my legs didn't really feel like they'd been through much.
Figured I'd give it 24 hours and wait for the DOMS to kick in. So far, nothing. Now I'm wondering if I could have gone...

Can't believe it's almost a week and a half since I blogged here!
Once again I've shuffled my STS rotation around. Last week wound up being a rest week. No weights. Just light cardio. I did something to my neck, and it was sore all week. Frustrating, especially when I don't know what I did.
Last week should have been week 4 of meso 2. After mulling over my options, I decided to write off the week as active recovery, and move on to meso 3.
