Thanks for starting us, Nancy, and WTG! I am inspired and ready to move forward. I'm so glad all this wedding prep is over and things can return to normal for awhile. Now I have to start working on my DD's wedding though. LOL

I don't have a lot of pics from the wedding as I really didn't have an opportunity to take any. ;) I did take a few while we were waiting for the ceremony to start. The wedding was held in a Christian school that used to be a church so that's why it looks like we were in a classroom. We were. :D Here's a pic of the bride and her flower girls and one of me and my DD striking a pose and one of me and the beautiful bride.

Oh, I did Step Blast this morning. I needed a step fix and this hit the spot. Love this w/o! I forgot to weigh this morning to see if I gained anything after the weekend. I think I'll wait until Friday to see if the pound it still gone before I change my ticker. LOL I might be a good thing to do.

Hi Rhondalynn:
Is you new avatar cropped from that picture on FB with the bride's mom?
It's a good pic. Your dress is really pretty, too!
The wedding looks beautiful. Thx for posting your good photos here, too.
On FB, it looked like the groomsmen had sunglasses on during the ceremony? LOL! How fun!:D

Yes, I bet you are glad all the prep and wedding is over. You had a busy week last week, like me, so, I understand that you're ready to get focused again. I think I only have 2 extra activities this whole week, besides work that will detract me from focusing on my goals, rather than 1-2 things each day in addition to work. (I don't know if that sentence made sense)

I did about 50 minutes of Step Works this morning before I ran out of time(I have to be done a 6:55am with exercising otherwise the whole morning falls apart!). I think step was the thing to do this morning!

I'll check in again later with some stuff I did on the weekend.

Good luck everyone with your goals.
I think I might weigh myself a little later in the week, too!;)

Happy Monday everyone! It'ss been snowing ALL morning!! Not much accumulation, however, since the leaves have barely turned colors and are just now starting to fall, it's a big mess! The roads are only wet so nothing treacherous is happening. It's just annoying to have snow before halloween! :p

I just wanted to "pop" in here real quick-like...

Nancy: YOU are rockin' and rollin' girl!! I am just thrilled for you! :D You must be pretty darn happy yourself! ;) I'm very inspired by your progress and am off to a good start this week...thanks to you!! :D

Rhondalyn: You look beautiful! What a pretty dress! Great color on you! I haven't checked out you FB page yet, just wanted to tell you that you look great. Hopefully you are having a relaxing day!

Linda: Good job getting your workout in this morning! I overslept so I'll have to get my core work and stretching in tonight. ;)

Tonight is H2O aerobics. Still don't have the water booties but I'll make do!! :)

I'll be back tonight to "catch up" a bit on some previous posts.

Monday

Thanks to everyone for your congratulations on my weight loss this week. <raising water glass> Here's to continued success for all of us!

Lisa, that's sweet that you're using my progress for inspiration. I hope I don't let you down! Have a great week.

Rhondalyn, you look radiant in the photos. No one would guess that you have been so overworked and frazzled. What a beautiful bride! And her dress is gorgeous. Now when is your daughter's wedding? I know you told me, but I don't remember.

Checking in with the last week of CLX Burn with BC1 done today and about 15 mnutes on the treadmill. I just wasn't in the mood to stay on it any longer than that.

I'm gonna pop in real quick-like, too. Lisa:The photos I saw of the wedding weren't on Rhondalynn's page. She was tagged in a photo, so, I followed that over to someone else's album(might have been named STeve). Anyway, I'll pop over (hey, we are really popping) to FB and send you a message so maybe you can see the album, too.

Have fun at H20 aerobics and hopefully it doesn't get too slippery in the snow. Here in Portland, it is soooo dumb, but, they close the schools when there's a little bit of snow coming down!! In Bend, where there is lots of snow, or packed snow on the ground for much of the winter, they don't close down everything, though. Bend is the city close to Mount Bachelor(not sure if you have heard of that). So, I don't mind driving in the snow, but, many Portlanders cannot handle it! (But, I must admit, I did end up in a ditch once..., but didn't get hurt. Guess I was too confident!)

Thanks guys. My dress was way too tight but it's over now so I'm going to shut up about it. I learned some valuable lessons this time around. I won't order a dress without trying it on before. ;)

Linda, the sunglasses were something they decided to do at some point before the wedding started. They didn't put them on until they were getting ready to escort the bridesmaids out. They were just being silly. The church had 2 long aisles. The girls went down the left and the guys on the right. They crossed in front and went to their spots where they were supposed to stand. They each did some kind of high 5 thing when they crossed. This wasn't planned either but the bride and groom were aware of it and didn't object. They had a good time.:p

Lisa, I can't believe all the snow that is happening. We've actually had a beautiful fall day here. It was a little cool but nice. Have fun tonight.

Nancy, my DD's wedding is June 19th.

:)Hi! It's great to see everyone here!

I'm supposed to be packing for my trip in the morning but I wanted to do a quick check in before I left. My DH is taking me to San Francisco for my birthday.:D We'll be there 3 nights and have tickets to see a show on all of those nights. We're going to see Wicked (this will be the 7th time for meit 's a great show), we'll also see Rent and South Pacific (I've never seen these two).

Rhondalyn: I'm happy to hear that the wedding went off without a hitch.:) You look beautiful by the way.

Nancy: I just wanted to say it again: WTG!!! You're doing great! Do you credit CLX for any of your success or will you say it's mainly diet? I actually gained 4 pounds while doing CLX. That's why I didn't finish it. I got discouraged. It probably had more to do with what I was eating though and not so much the exercise. Though I noticed I wasn't burning as many calories as I do with Cathe's workouts.

Linda: I know what you mean about people not being able to drive in the snow. We don't get much snow here but when we do the whole town shuts down:) I'm glad to hear that this week will be a little less hectic for you.:)

Lisa: You can send some of that snow down our way.:p Hope your water aerobics class went well.

Well, I ran in my 5K race on Saturday. I did better than I thought I would. I finished with a time of 31:56. I was able to run the whole thing. It was fun and I met some great people. I'll do it again next time there's one.

Today's workout was Cardio and Weights. This one can be pretty challenging on an 8 inch step.:) I was down a pound and a half this week. Hopefully I won't gain it back on my trip.:)

Congrats on the 5K Jacque! That's great. I'd die if I tried to run one with no preparation. Have a great time on your BD trip and I hope you get out of the airport soon. :(

I thought I was just going to help DH feed some horses today but I ended up going to work with him this afternoon and was not able to get my w/o in until just a bit ago. Those on FB know that I did PUB and it was sweet.:D

Hello!

Jacque, not sure if you'll be checking in while you are in San Fran but..have a GREAT time!! What a wonderful treat for your birthday! Oh - Happy Birthday (a day early)! ;) Kudos to you on the 5k! Great time too-are you sure you hadn't run since July?! Oh...you can have ALL the snow!! I hate it!! :D

Linda:Thanks for the link on FB...haven't "popped" over to check it out yet, but I will. ;)
I grew up in the Pacific Northwest and can remember all the chaos created by an inch or two of snow. However, in the defense of all regions not accustomed to a lot of snow or aren't allowed to use chemicals on the roads, MN drivers would be just as crazy if it weren't for the salt and sanded roads! Even with that, it can still be nuts, especially when you factor in the drivers that travel at mach speed!! In the winter, I drive like a lil' ole grandma.

Rhondalyn:How was PUB?? :) Did you pryamid up and down or just up? It is such a great workout. I did it on Saturday. I kept my weights a little lighter but increased the reps of each pyramid. I STILL have DOMS!! On Monday I could barely move my arms!
Are you taking a little break before starting the preparations for you DD's wedding?? :)

Nancy: I'm the only one that can let me down. Here's to success!! :)

I'm down .5 pounds. I'll take it! :) My week is going okay. I've had a slight, pounding headache since Saturday. However, my leg and backside are feeling good! If it's not one end, it the other!
Still enjoying the water aerobics -we did tuck jumps last night! It was the first time I did one with good form! :D
I have to confess, I am missing step aerobics terribly! I almost pulled out my step Saturday but thought better of it. I'm hoping I can eventually add it back in at least once a week. Hey, I think I just came up with my reward for reaching my weight goal! :D

Well, I'm off to update my ticker and to finish making dinner. Oh...The Biggest Loser is on tonight! Love that show!

Later everyone!

Tuesday

Jacque, I saw that you were going to just make it to Wicked. I hope you enjoyed it thoroughly after your stressful arrival. As far as crediting CLX for any of my success right now, I really think it's more the eating. I'm in the last week of the first phase and I'm ready to move on. I have not really been comfortable at all with the compound moves and other than my shoulders haven't felt like I got that great of a workout -- but my shoulders and rear delts are starting to appear again, which is great. Whether that's due to the workouts or fat loss there's really no way to tell. This is not to say that I have hated or even disliked the workouts, and I've certainly worked up a sweat and gone to failure a few times. I was hesitant to challenge myself any further on a number of the moves because they just didn't feel safe for me in the compound format. Does any of that make any sense whatsoever? Nice going on your 5K -- sounds like you did a great job.

Rhondalyn, that's great that you are able to get back to a workout schedule this week after all of the hubbub. We'll be seeing that ticker move, for sure.

Lisa, congratulations on your loss this week! You're moving in the right direction. Wow, tuck jumps -- I'm impressed, whether on land or sea! I feel so bad for you that you can't do step right now, but it's a great "carrot" to have to keep going with your diet and allowable exercise. Don't do anything foolish, no matter how tempting it is, okay? About your headache, just a thought. You said you did PUB on Saturday and are still sore. I sometimes get exertion headaches and wonder whether PUB might be the culprit and it's just lingering a little longer? Probably just coincidence, but thought I would throw that out there.

Although today was a rest day on the CLX rotation I had every intention of getting some cardio in, but it didn't happen. It turned into a busy day that got away from me. I may have messed up a bit on my diet. The weekly poker game is at our house tonight, so my daughter and I went out to dinner to escape for awhile :p. We went to Red Lobster and I was tickled to be able to get something with a butter sauce on it for a change and not feel guilty. I got the shrimp with lobster butter (subbed the rice for broccoli), but it looks like I probably should have gotten it with the garlic butter instead. I checked online afterward and it has mega carbs in the dish, although I'm not sure where they would come from (it says the NI is without sides). It will be interesting to see whether it affects my loss over the next few days. But now I know better and will do better next time.

ETA: Lisa, I love TBL also and have it taped ready to watch!

Hi everyone! Life has been crazy and I haven't had much time to post...looks like everyone continues to do very well.
Rhondalynn, You look awsome in the pics! You should be proud if yourself!!

Can't wait to get caught up on Biggest Loser on Friday...that Tracy girl is WACKO! I'm glad they aren't pushing the fact that she's a Marine Corps spouse!

I haven't been eating perfectly, but not bad either. When I weigh on Friday, I expect no loss and no gain...just not doing well enough for a loss recently. My youngest daughter has been a little sick and I went for a f/u with my ENT dr yesterday, got scoped and still have somer refulx going on, so he doubled my dose of Nexium...uuuugh!

I ordered a new DVD yesterday called Koga...anyone heard of it? It was featured on Dr Oz yesterday and it is a combo of yoga and Kick Box...looks pretty hard, we'll see.

Until Friday......

Good morning!

I did KCM's new plyo w/o. It's certainly not as tough as Cathe's but all I needed this morning. Not sure how much I love it but I did like it and will keep it. I'm just not a big plyo junkie. ;)

Nancy, how can you go to RL and not eat the biscuits? I wonder where the carbs came from too.

Lisa, I did up and down and I'm already feeling it all over. Seriously. Sorry about the step but hopefully you will be able to enjoy it again. Congrats on the loss!

Hi Lacy, you posted while I was typing I guess. :D

Never heard of Koga. I'll have to check it out. Sorry about the reflux.:(

Everyone's ticker is heading in the right direction! I don't have one but it would be stuck at a 2 pound loss. I have worked out only sporadically while here with the in-laws. We may close on our new house next week. We will probably take a few weeks to paint and do things like that before we move in.

Rhondalyn, everyone looks beautiful. Did eveyone have a good time?

Lisa, enjoy the workouts that you can do. eventually you will be able to step again. We are going to get flurries here and it is way too early.

Jacque, enjoy SF. I would love to get there someday.

Nancy, Woohoo!

Lacy, Hope the nexium helps. I hope your kids get better soon too. I think there is nothing worse than when your kids are sick.

Linda, keep up the workouts.

We have to take D for her EEG today. Her EKG was normal. I don't have a gut feeling that anything is wrong with her (I usually do when something is wrong with someone...like an extra sense...and I am usually right) so let's hope I am right. I am worried about how she is going to sit still while they put 40 leads on her head and sit still while they run the test. She is the most active 2 and half year old that I have ever met. Even when she is sitting still she is still moving her feet around. Will check in later tonight.

I did the warm up from KPC today, then did a freestyle upper body workout. I made sure to hit each muscle group 3 times. For a fun finish, I did about 3/4 of CM-seg. 1. Ran out of time

I am trying to stay within my calories each day. Not sure why it is so difficult to do. Oh, that's right, I eat too much!  This week I've been trying to pay attention to when and why I am eating. Stress and perceivedboredom are the big winners here.

Melissa: I hope your DD's test go well today. I can't imagine how you keep a toddler still for those tests...poor little thing.
You must be looking forward to moving into your new house. Very exciting. And there is nothing like fresh paint. :)

How is/was San Francisco, Jacque? I'm sure you found some cooler weather there!! Did you have to buy a fleece jacket down by the pier like I did when I was there? :D I hope you had a wonderful birthday. I can't believe you are 40! You barely look 30!!

Nancy: I, too, need to know how you passed on the cheddar biscuits at RL!!? Truly impressive! ;) I also wonder how shrimp, lobster, and broccoli can be high in carbs?? Weird.
Did you watch this week's BL yet?

Lacy: ITA: Tracey on TBL is a WACKO. In general I'm not a fan of contestants that are "players". Add the fact that she appears to be crazy and I really don't like her. :) She reminds me of Vicki and Heba and I truly did not like either of them. I feel they ruined that season. IMHO, I think last season's BL was the best season so far.
How are you feeling? Is that Nexium helping? I hope so.
I checked out that Koga...looks fun!! You'll have to let us know how you like the DVD.

Rhondalyn: Got DOMS? :) I looked at the wedding pictures on FB - beautiful bride and handsome groom!! You must be very proud!! :D I hope you're having a wonderful week!

How's it going, Linda? :D

Later everyone!

Thursday

Lacy, I'm sorry that you're having reflux problems. I do hope you get that straightened out. You asking about Koga is the first I've heard of it. I need to Google it and see what I find out.

Rhondalyn, I'm afraid I don't have any magic answer about resisting the cheddar biscuits. I'm just really in the groove right now <knocking on wood> and seeing good results helps motivate me to stay there.

Melissa, how did the EEG go? I hope your extra sense was right on target. What a challenge to keep the little one still! Congratulations on nearly having your new house.

Lisa, nice going on the self-created workout. One of the best things I find for getting rid of any perceived hunger pangs is Hansen's Diet Rootbeer. No calories or carbs, and no artificial sweeteners. It's so rich and creamy that it takes care of any desire I have to snack. I have it fairly often in the evenings.

I did CLX BC2 yesterday. Today ended up being another rest day, as I had a long trip to Phoenix for the monthly Torch Run meeting. After the meeting I took the time to go to see my sister up there, which put me driving back through Phoenix rush hour. Not fun. I'll finish up the Burn phase with BC3 either tomorrow or Saturday (depending on whether I feel more like doing cardio tomorrow) and get to move on to the next phase next week. I'm ready!
