Kristan, Happy Birthday Gus!!! I love that name! Any special plans for the birthday boy? Enjoy your WO!!! I would love to go for a walk but its too chilly outside for Julia.... Exercise will have to wait I suppose. How much are you working? Hope its all going well. I am sooooo glad we hired some one to fill my spot. I'd be over the edge if I had to do all of that right now. I do payroll and that's just fine for me! It gives us enough $$ to pay the cleaning lady and it buys diapers! What's the new music on your ipod? My sister filled mine with a bunch of ghetto/hard core rap stuff. The wierd thing is....I totally love it!

the house is QUIET with both girls gone....aaaahhhh!!! Sweet peace! Julia's conked out in her crib. I'd better get soem stuff done.

bbl.......

What a day already. Anyone have any advice for me? Charlie wants to be held ALL day long, and when I sit him in his bouncy seat or his pumpkin seat he screams. He screamed himself silly this morning while I fixed Henry some breakfast. I can't wear a sling because of my c-section scar which won't heal because I am constantly bending down to pick up baby and toys. UGH!! And Henry thinks it's cute to wake Charlie up when he finally does go down for a nap. He just smiles at me when I threaten to take all of his toys to Goodwill and tell Santa to skip our house when he does this (empty threats, and he knows it.) Sorry to vent. Just a very frustrating day. At least the past couple of nights have gone pretty well.

I'm wondering if Charlie isn't digesting his formula well. He has gas ALL the time, and that's making him really fussy. But he's not spitting up, so I don't think that I should change formulas. Anyway, sorry to complain. I really am very thankful for my little angel; just wish he'd let me put him down occasionally. My house is filthy and Henry is feeling totally ignored.

Yey Charlie is napping. Henry is watching a video on fire fighters and telling me all about them now. How cute. Seems that today is turning out to be good after all (knock on wood). I actually got the playroom cleaned up!

Kate--Hope you're enjoying your day with Julia!

Kristan--Happy Birthday to Gus!!

I just ordered the book: "What Babies Say Before They Can Talk : The Nine Signals Infants Use to Express Their Feelings" I read it's good for understanding older kids too. I've never put much stock in parenting books, but I thought it might be a fun read.

Hi everyone!

Kate-I got a sling from rockinbabyslings.com. I love it, Ryder can sleep in that all day Pictures went good yesterday, she did a really cute shot of the boys, Wilson laid on his stomach and Owen laid on top of Wilson and Ryder was on top. I hope they turn out good.

Kristen-did you have a nice run? I am really anxious to get back to running. My younger sister called me yesterday and told me she just got finished running 10 miles, I was so jealous. I did take Owen and Ryder out on a walk yesterday. It felt good to get some exercise. Are you having a b/day party for Gus? Three is such a fun age

Stephanie- I am glad you are having a good day and the Charlie is napping Maybe you can try Charlie in a sling after your incision is healed. It really has helped me with all 3 boys.

Ryder got circumcised today He has been sleeping ever since it's been 2 1/2 hours so I really need to wake him up to eat.

Stephanie, sorry for the hard times. Any way you slice it, the first 3 months are an adjustment. Glad the afternoon turned around for you. I was going to suggest a sling or wrap too. You can adjust them so that they are up higher on your body. Moby wraps are wonderful, Candra mentioned a Maya the other day. Mei Tais are great too (kozy.com had great ones).

candra, I'm jealous of your walk! Its too cold here to take Julia outside. Your pics sound adorable! (((hugs))) to Owen for the circ! OUCH! Why did you not do it at the hospital? I have never woke up my kids to feed them. I make buttermilk for breastmilk apparently. Julia was back at her birthweight by day 5. At the 2 week mark she was up one pound from her birth weight. Midwife said they look for them to be at their birthweight by the 2-week mark! The older girls were so rolly by 3 months - looks like Julia will be too!

Today has been a good day - well, once I got the older girls off to school! My mom picked up Isabel from preschool for me. (thanks mom!). We took a nap this afternoon too! A whole hour for me! It was wonderful!

Have great evenings with your babes!

Hi! Ah....some time to post.
Stephanie-Aidan has been gassy too, especially tonight. A car ride to the mall and a walk around the mall still didn't calm him down. When we got home, I nursed him, and he FINALLY fell asleep about 10 minutes ago. He lets out the loudest farts and burps, though! I know how gas makes me feel, so I can imagine how it makes him feel. This will be over before we know it! I hope you have a good night!
By the way, I just ordered a "hotsling", and I plan to use that when my scar is completely healed too.

Kristan-Happy 3rd birthday to Gus! Did you have a party? My son is 3 1/2, and I think that it is such a fun age! Good for you on the run! I can't wait to get back into exercise. It feels like I am going to have this large muffin top forever!

Kate-Good for you taking a nap. I try to take them when I can, but not always easy!

Candra-Aw, poor Ryder! Aidan got the "plastibell" circumcision procedure. It's barbaric, but it works. Is that what Ryder got, or the other one (I can't think of the name right now). It's all healed now! I hope he sleeps well tonight.

I have one more thing to do, then it's early to bed for me!
