What Next For Stepping?

Hi All:

In the past I've never been able to do step workouts, as I'm clumsy and tend to fall over and off. But when I ordered a step from Cathe, to use in other workouts, it came with the basic step circuit DVD. I think I've actually mastered it! (the step portion I mean, the weights are easy!!). I'm wondering if anyone can suggest another step DVD, maybe a bit more advanced but nothing to complicated. I'd prefer Cathe of course but if there is someone else I'm willing to try.

Thanks!!

Sparrow

Marla (smoogy) recently gave me her Classics DVD (thanks, Marla:) ), and I'm enjoying it very much. The choreography is pretty simple and much easier to follow than her other step workouts. Also, I have bad knees, but I've done Step Jam and Step Heat on a 6-inch platform. I always use 4 inches.

I also had these old Kathy Smith tapes. They all went on eBay after I found Cathe, but I remember liking her Basic Step and Power Step workouts. She also had this Great Buns and Thighs workout that I used a lot, although you might find it too easy.

I think Cathe's Low Impact Step has simple choreography as well. However, I've been stepping with Cathe for about six years and recognized some moves ~ that could be why I found it simple. Check out the video clips and see what you think. Good luck!

Check out Cardio Hits. That one is great, fun, and very easy to learn.

Happy stepping! I'm addicted!

Definitely try Low Impact Step. The choreography is very doable and done a lot slower than some of the other videos. She aslo tells you the name of the moves and breaks them dwne so much that many beginners catch on to the move. However, just because it's easier choreography wise doesn't mean the actual workout is easy. The intensity on this one is intermediate in my opinion. Especially because of the blasts. I definitely recommend it.
