Seuss-isms

Catherine's signature (Fit Fairy) and other recent quotes posted on OD got me thinking about Theodor Seuss Geisel, and his wise and witty observations of life, he was a true modern day philosopher!

Here is one of my favorites:

You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. You are the guy who'll decide where to go. (from "Oh the Places You'll Go")

For some bizarre reason, DH and I often find ourselves quoting from the Sneetches. "They have stars upon thars."

I always liked Horton's outlook. A person's a person, no matter how small.

We love the Seuss and LeSeig books.

My younger son LOVES Bartholomew and the Oobleck! We make oobleck at least once a week!!! Second runner up of books is Scrambled Eggs Super.

"Oh The Places You'll Go" is my favorite Dr. Seuss book! It has so much wisdom for every part of life. I refer to parts of this book often.

My favorite Suess book is "I Had Trouble in Getting to Solla Sollew"

I was real happy and carefree and young
And I lived in a place called the Valley of Vung
And nothing, not anything ever went wrong....
