Question about splits vs endurance liftiing

Currently I am doing a GS rotation where I lift 3x a week and do 3-4 days of cardio. I am done with this rotation after next week and am going to switch to a more endurance based rotation.

This will be my first time doing endurance weight workouts. Should I expect to use lower weights for these workouts?

Also, I am thinking of doing this endurance rotation for 4-6 weeks and then doing S&H or even GS again. Will I maintain the strength gains that I have made during my GS rotation or is it like starting from scratch?

Thanks for you time!

Karin

Depending on what workouts you try for Endurance you will most likely go lighter as there are usually more reps. I think you will keep your strength gains, it certainly won't be like starting from scratch when you do S&H or GS again...just my opinion...:)

My experience has been that you have to use lighter weights with endurance workouts. You could lose a minimal amount of strength, but as Carole said, it certainly won't be like starting from scratch.

Enjoy your new rotation!!
