I have a place on the back of my neck that really is getting bothered by a barbell, so, I opted to go and buy heavier free weights this weekend and I used those whilst doing Pure Strength Legs. I didn't put the weights on my shoulders, but held them at my side when doing most of the leg work, is this just as good or is it important to have the weights on your shoulders? Why does it seem easier to use free weights rather than a barbell even if it is the same poundage??
