I'm scared for my puppy

Sending GOOOOOOOOOD puppy vibes you way!! Please let us know. I KNOW how worried you are. My puppies are my kids. I just don't know what I'd do if something hapened to them. They would get whatever medical care they needed, regardless of cost.

Poor little Pixley :( I sure hope all is well and you get good news in the morning!!! Sending lots of healing vibes your way ;)

Oh the poor pup! *sending healing vibes to Pixley (LOVE the name)* My boy had a partial blockage that was caused by rawhide (needless to say, he does not get rawhides any more!). He's fine now. As soon as he "went out" so-to-speak and passed part of the blockage, he made huge strides in recovery. But he scared me! Its very common and can be caused by almost anything - stuffing from animals, rawhides, even socks... Hope Pixley's feeling better soon!

Big puppy hugs!!!!! Try to get some sleep tonight, and let us know what happens when you call the vet in the morning

Nan

I was afraid to read this post... keeping my fingers crossed... sending hugs and puppy prayers. keep us posted.:(

Sending good wishes for your puppy to feel better. My neighbor was also very worried when her dog had to stay overnight at the vet's unattended. She hired one of the vet techs to stay for the night. Hopefully your puppy will be feeling better and coming home today.

I, too, am sending good four-legged-baby vibes your way. But this sort of thing IS real common and your vet is on it so I think everything's going to come out fine in the end. He's just got to get past this nasty tummy ache. Lucky for him his mommy loves him enough to get him to a doctor. Please keep us posted, though.

Hoping your baby gets better real soon!

I agree with SirenSongWoman, your baby is very lucky to have you for a mom:)

Sending lots of love and healing vibes to Pixley and you.

That sounds like a heck of a lot for an operation of that type. One of my cats once swallowed some metallic Christmas ribbon (long, thin stuff...I blame me for leaving it out, my friend blames herself for using it to wrap my gift!). It cost somewhere near $200 for 'removal.'

What great news!! So glad to hear it, and I know you are beyond relieved! Lots of hugs and wet sloppy kisses are in order, I am sure :p

I am so happy to hear that!! I had to check in on my coffee break 'cause I was thinking of you.

Annie

I'm glad all is well with Pixley!!!

Yes, vet bills are costly for sure. I've spent some bucks on my two boxers too.
Our boxer boy needed heart testing and we decided we wanted to see a cardiologist. We had to drive 2 hours to a University Vet hospital to see this specialist and for testing. Cost of vet and hotel was pricey. They had to perform a ultrasound and holter our boy for 24 hours. When it came time to talk with the vet about the test results, I felt so weak and thought I would faint. I thought for sure he was going to give me bad news. Turned out my boy has a secondary heart valve block and it was not life threatening.

Ooohhh, I can't stand it when animals are sick!! Especially when it's your own little one and there's nothing you can do! I'll be keeping Pixley in my prayers!
