Hello Everyone-newbie question

BooBear

Cathlete
Just wanted to introduce myself......

I am not new to Cathe.....just fell off the exercise wagon after my second little one. (Had some major depression issues:-( )
Pre baby I was a very fit person--about 4 years ago. Anyway, I consider myself new to exercise again, and am looking forward to taking care of me!

So glad to see a forum for other Cathe fans! I only have her beginner/intermediate videos and need to stay with them for a while....

After that- what is a good step to take for the next level? I feel a wee bit overwhelmed with all of the options. They all look good!

Nice to meet you all!

Jo

Welcome to the forums and welcome back to Cathe!

I'd go for the Body Blast Series next I guess but TBH pretty much any Cathe work out can be modified to suit your abilities. The only thing you might have to watch is the choreography of the step work outs cause if you aren't good with that it can be VERY frustrating!

HTH a bit!

Jo, I'm glad you've joined us and welcome! When I started out with Cathe I found Low Max to be a good workout. The step choreography is more beginner friendly than say, Rhythmic Step ;-)and it kinda sneaks up on ya. Muscle Max is also good from the weight lifting side of things and you can easily modify it to suit your budding abilities ;) Just my two cents.

Welcome Jo.

Welcome and ditto to what Beavs said. Low Max & Muscle Max would be a good place to start.

Also, as someone said, the Body Blast series is good. For weights Push Pull and Supersets are good sort of intermediate level (but of course with weights you can always just start much lighter than Cathe does).

KPC was one of the first Cathe DVDs I bought. It contains a great k'boxing workout as well as Legs & Glutes. Tons of premix options on this one, some of which combine these two workouts. Ouch! :) I would also recommend MM or HSC. Actually, the truth is, once you get hooked on Cathe, you'll probably buy the complete library (or close to it!), anyway. Whatever you choose to buy next, just modify and do what you do can. You'll build up to being able to keep up with Cathe & crew.

Oh, and the catalog, which is available online, is extremely helpful for the workout descriptions, workout breakdown, and premix options.

Happy shopping!

I wanted to pop back in for a sec-I would second the recomendation of the beginer and intermediate rotations! I did them both and they were both were excellent learning rotations!
