Another use for ankle weights

I just thought of this today. Using ankle weights, the old school kind with long straps, combined to make a weighted belt. This can really come in handy for those times when I need to add a couple of lbs to challenge my lower body in addition to hand weights. Or use just the belt while doing lunges.

Anyone else tried this?
 
I've done this. My husband told me a looked like a suicide bomber :p (I have 5 lb adjustable ankle weights... I guess all the little pockets that hold the weight bars look like explosives??)
 
I used ankle weights attached to the bottom of my weighted vest to raise it's weight w/o having to add weight to db's or a bb and it worked out well even though it looked a little silly!:p
