Airbrush Tan

I am curious about this. I use to tan in a booth when I was young then just only through the winter now not at all in the summer I have my pool and am outside all the time but I would like the color is it worth it what have you paid and how many time have you gone to get the right color how long does it last what do you wear?

I just saw the famous daves but I never can get these to work on me and I do not want to put any lotions on my face.

I have had it done and it lasts 3 days tops. I thought it was a waste of money.
I use the micromist formulas you can get at the drugstore, they do not make you super dark or anything, but add a nice color. Not sure what I will do come summer, probably a large hat, and lots of sunscreen! I am NOT a fan of laying in the sun anymore, I work hard to keep my skin nice and don't want the skin cancer scare thing either.

I had this done last year and I don't think it was worth the money. When it started to fade, I had very weird "fading." Generally speaking, I think a tan looks great on those who are under 35 (big generalization). I HATE the really tan look on women over 40. I think it makes us look older. Now that I'm 50, my goal is to stay as wrinkle free for as long as possible....without surgery. But, I do think a little bit of color (from Jergens, etc.) can make legs look much better. I think paler skin is more "in" now.....thank God!!!

i started the famous daves thread. when you said you can't get "those" to work on you did you mean sunless lotions? if so, i'm not the most evenly skilled applicant and my tan always comes out even. the lotion is very opague so you see right where you are blending. its got a 100% money back guarentee so i think its worth a try. i've never done an air brush tan b/c they are so darn expensive.

I bought a package of 5 for about $100 but have used only three. Honestly, I'm not terribly happy about the results. On day one, you look so dark that you are a freak, day 2 through 4 are a bit better, and then the fading, flaking, splotchiness occurs.

So, no, not impressed. Guess I ought to use up my last 2 but definitely won't do it in the winter - it'll just be too drastic a change.

Yes kariev I did read your thread and I am going to give it a try with so much negative about the airbrushing I know this bunch will steer me the right way.
