Where did you get your gloves in KPC?

I am still trying to find decent weighted gloves for kickbox....where did you and your crew get yours in KPC?

They don't wear gloves, but rather hand wraps (taped so they don't get loose).

For weighted gloves, I recommend Ironwear 1# gloves. I've tried many styles, and these are by far the best: most comfortable, don't shift. I've seen them at Reebok factory outlets. You can also find them on the web by searching "ironwear grips" (Ironwear is a company that makes softweight equipment--using heavy rubber instead of sand or hard metal--for other companies).

Sweet! They have those one pound weighted things, but they are not gloves and not comfy - I will run a search on the web and order some!!

I was (and still am) interested in the Reebok ironwear gloves, at Kathryn's suggestion, but have been unsuccessful at finding a place to purchase them. My google search results have sent me to websites that have discontinued them, are out of stock (indefinitely) or are overseas and will not ship to the U.S. I've called the Reebok outlet stores and they no longer carry them.

Sorry for rambling, but I did find a few websites that carry weighted exercise gloves (if you can't find any, elsewhere):

www.spergloves.com
www.karate.com
www.shapeupshop.com

There are weighted gloves on these websites that are different from boxing/bag gloves---they're fingerless/thumbless weighted gloves that velcro wrap around the hands. Just type in "weighted gloves" in the search box.

P.S. If anyone does find a place that sells the Reebok ironwear gloves, please let me know!!! TIA!

I've found these (searching "Ironwear hand").

I don't know what weight they are, though!

Here are the 1"ones (they call them "knuckle irons"--why, I don't know!, because they are gloves like I have and recommend):

ANother source for the 1 pounders:

I just found these quickly, and didn't check to see prices or if they are actually in-stock.

Kathryn,

Thanks so much for the effort and info---Greatoutdoors.com was one that did pop up when I googled "ironwear 'hands'" (and everything else I could think of!) and it's out of stock there.

Fitgift.com and Todays-fitness.com definitely did not pop up on my (exhaustive ;( ) google search results and guess what?! They are available for purchase (reasonably priced and as far as I can tell, in stock) on both sites!

Thanks again---I'm off to order!
