What about the preorders through CK?

Will the preorders through CK sales count for the gift? I have a feeling that these won't count because my credit card was not charged last year and it won't be until the order is placed by CK sales. I'm curious and I just have to ask!

In one of the newsletters CK told that all the people who preordered from CK sales will not receive the free gift.
