vitamins and dark urine

So what's the deal with dark pee right after you take a vitamin despite drinking enough water? I heard today that it means you are just eliminating what your body could not use and you're getting too much vitamins in your multi. They suggested you take one with less amounts of the various ingredients. I HAVE found that when I take one kind I get the dark pee but when I take a childrens one I don't. If I'm just wasting my money on the ones with high doses I'll just go back to the kids ones. Any suggestion?

There is one B vitamin that does the dark urine. I can't remember which one it is, but that is the only thing involved. You don't necessarily need to lower your dose of "everything" just to lower the B vitamin. And B vitamins are pretty cheap anyway.
