Hi Cathe,
I recently found out that some chronic neck pain is due to a herniated disc, pinched nerves, and "arthritic changes" in my neck. Until I can get set up for some cortisone injections I've been "forbidden" from doing any overhead pressing movements but I'm okay to do "anything else" as long as it doesn't cause pain. In your opinion, would upright rows be a decent substitute for overhead presses when starting my shoulder routine, or is there a better alternative?
Thanks,
FitnessRN
