Triceps Question

Cathe or anyone in the educated crowd:
Close-grip dumbbell and barbell presses and triceps dips are very uncomfortable for me. I almost always substitute with cross-body extensions or push-downs on a machine. Am I missing anything crucial for triceps development by doing this? Thanks very much.

It's great that you have access to a machine for tricep press downs since this too is a mass building exercise. I suggest keeping the press down machine as a mainstay in your tricep workouts. Keep up the great work!
