Cathlete
HI Cathe - I just wanted to let you know that I have used your workouts for years and I finally just competed for the first time at age 30. Here are some pictures. I did use a coach the last 10 weeks of prep and so only used workouts of yours to supplement such as for my SS cardio that needed to be at 150 BMP I put together the cardio bootcamp, IMAX3 blasts only and then kickmax blasts. Great combo by the way! I also did Core MAx for all my ab work. Then of course until the 10 weeks before the show i did all your workouts only plus some interval running. So just wanted to say THanks for your part in my success in meeting my goals :) The scores are not posted yet but I will follow up once I have them. Keep up the great workouts and I look forward to the new set coming out!

Thanks everyone for your compliments!!! I just found out I placed 8th out of 10. Which is good I think since it was a national qualifier and no one else was a newbie :)

Hi Alandrum! Wow, congratulations, you look absolutely fantastic. Your hard work has paid off...your body is beautiful. Love your hairstyle too. It fits you perfectly. I know the hard work you have just endured so kick back and give your body a little R&R....you have without a doubt earned it. :7 Take Care!

Seriously, how can anyone get their butt to look like that? Unreal!!!!! Just tell me what I need to do...and I'll do it. Amazing beyond words. Enjoy your hard earned achievement. What did you eat first once it was over. Sorry to be so nosey...but I'm very intrigued.

up to the 10 week mark I did Cathe's GS legs and Legs and Glutes. Legs and Glutes is my favorite! I almost feel like i am getting some cardio. Now I do squats and lunges at the gym because that is what my trainer has me do. Once in awhile I still do the floor work from the two workouts i mentioned before. I also do Cathe's cardio DVD for my SS cardio but since my heart rate has to be really high I only do the blast work. Like bootcamp cardio only,imax3 blasts only and kickmax blasts only. this is great cardio and a lot of pylo work that helps. Oh and of course my diet fits in. I had NO cheats not even one bite for the last 6 weeks.

I went straight to the nearest Coldstone :) and i do not mind the questions at all. That is why I posted I wanted people to know that it is possible :)

You look amazing, and I agree that your hair is gorgeous!!! Congratulations. You really do help in the inspiration department!!

You look fantastic:) :) Such a inspiration for all of us. Would you mind sharing your current diet and exercise routine?

Thank you,
dawn

RE: THANKS Cathe - Just competed for the first time thi...

I can not really share to much detail because of the rights of my trainer. I eat 6 small meals a day with each one being either a fat/protein combo or carb/protein combo. Carb/fat combo should not really be eaten during dieting phases. Right now I do 5 days of cardio and do a lower/upper body split where I work each half 2 times a week. I do my cardio in the AM and weights at night. If you have spefic questions I will answer anything that i can without breaking my agreement with my trainer. Hope this helps.

Me again. Can you tell us a little bit about what it was like competiting for the first time? What was the hardest part of the last 10 weeks? Also, where are you from and who was your trainer? Thanks for being an inspiration...I'm floored at your physique. You rocked it hard!

RE: THANKS Cathe - Just competed for the first time thi...

Competing was awesome! This last week has been what is hard. You want to eat everything you have been missing and the fact that I have another show in 6 weeks makes it that much worse because I know for another 6 weeks no goodies for me. I have been trying ot mostly be good this week but I have aloud myself a few treats. It is hard getting motivated again. during the prep I would have said it was the hardest the last 4 weeks but now i think it is the week after. the last 4 weeks get hard because you get weak and tired. All my strength went into my workouts and then mid day I would hit a wall. I love to lift heavy and my weights were staying the same or sometimes even going down so that was hard to deal with too. Not being able to eat the way I want is the hardest though and i do not even want bad things most the time but you have to eat sooo clean that it just gets boring sometimes. that is when you have to mentally get it in your head that food is for fuel and that is it. This whole thing has been harder mentally then anything.

My coach is Erik ledin. leanbodiesconsulting.com Everything is done over email. He tells me what workouts to do and exactly what to eat. I live in MI. I think i answered all your questions:) Let me know if I missed anything or if you have anymore. thanks again for the compliments. i really need them this week:)

RE: THANKS Cathe - Just competed for the first time thi...

Thanks :)

I wanted to post my workout for you guys since I am doing my own thing this week because I am waiting for my plan from my trainer and I need to get some more cardio in to help me recover from my week of fun. I have another show in 6 weeks so I need to get back on track.

Mon: HS challenge (am), light jog for 2 miles pushing my son in the running stroller (pm)

tues: HIIT run for 25 min (am), GS ball work only and Core max #2 (pm)
Wed:Hills
thursday: I forget the name of it but it is the circuit workout where Cathe mixes the imax2 and bootcamp and some weights from ME

Friday: Boot camp cardio only + Imax3 Blasts only+kickmax blasts only (am), abs (PM)

sat: HITT 25 min + Push Pull

Sun: off

This workout schdule plus eating 100% to the diet from my coach should kick my butt in gear hopefully :) Keep your fingers crossed for me because I have a posing clinic this Sunday and that means i have to put my posing suit back on.
