Sub for lateral lunges in S&H

Hi Cathe,

Could you recommend an alternative to the side lunges in S&H? They go right before plie squats. :eek:

I just do plie squats then, too......I dont know if that's an adequate substitution, but it's something, because I won't do those side lunges either. HTH...:eek:
 
Ummm..wait...I think I'm thinking of PS? Isn't there side lunges right before Plie's in PS Legs too?? Well anyways, on one of those workouts there's side lunges with the BB before you go heavy with Plies...but I just do Plie's there too......
 
I think in the YouTube clip for legs, they did 45 degree lunges. Instead of front or side lunges, they stepped out at a 45 degree angle. You could give those a try and see if they are comfortable for you. My uneducated guess is they would work the muscles targeted in the side lunges....?? Just a thought.

Thanks! I really like S&H Legs and shoulders but for some reason those side lunges seem to take forever and I start to hallucinate.:p I just want something to change it up a bit.
