Something different

I love your shows on FitTV and I go to the gym 6x's a week but on nasty wintery days I would like to know the best/hardest of your DVD's for Upper/Lower and then one for Cardio.

I like a challenge and to sweat A LOT. I average 8lb/12lb pounds for tricep kickbacks, 12,15,20lbs for biceps and I go really heavy for the legs.

For cardio I do a lot of spinning and running - I just sometimes feel that's "the only cardio that works" - so I think Im stuck in a rut.

I am to get married 12/02/06 and just want to tone up. I've never been heavy and Im about 118lb now but Im a tad jiggly in the tummy - but its kind of flat...??? And my inner thighs ARE HORRID! I know I cant spot train - but Im ready to get organized for our PA winter with some new and challenge!

Thank you.

Not Cathe here, but in case she's too busy to get back to you soon:
For cardio, definitely try the Interval Max/IMAX workouts. They are intense interval workouts, each one a bit different. My favorite is IMAX 2, followed by the original Interval Max (on the Rythmic Step + DVD).

For weights, either the Slow and Heavy series or Gym Styles (Slow and Heavy is a pure strength workout, while the Gym Styles are a combo of strength and endurance).

My suggestion is Slow&Heavy for strength and for cardio either Interval Max 2, Maximum Intensity Cardio or the Terminator dvd only b/c the IMax Exteme workout on there is a great cardio workout as are the other two workouts though they are cicuit workouts.

Forgot to add if you're looking more for a total body workout for upper rather than a split routine, I'd purchase the Pyramid dvd.

Sounds like you are in better shape then you think! However, if you want a really good inner thigh work out, Pyramid Lower Body has a KILLER inner thigh routine with a stability ball that I have really seen results in. In fact, I use that in addition to other leg workouts just to really target that area.
Cathe's Core Max is also all about abs. Another tip: make sure when you are running you are really concentrating on your core - keeping it tight. Cathe says it all the time in her videos and I have tried it and seen results. Some cardio work outs of hers are so tough that my abs are tired afterward without even doing one crunch!

Pure Strength Legs & Abs - has lying inner / outer thigh lifts w/ or w/o body bar... ouch! Also Legs & Glutes!!!!

46835, UPDATED "ULTIMATE GUIDE TO CATHE'S WORKOUTS"

Thank you to everyone who scored the new Hardcore workouts so that the user rankings (originally compiled by the lovely Sabine) could be updated.

I list below all of Cathe’s workouts categorized and ranked from easiest to hardest, using a scale of 1 to 10. This should be of benefit to anyone considering future purchases of Cathe’s workouts.

Some notes on the rankings:

The rankings were compiled by taking an average of everyone’s responses for each workout. These averages are based on the responses of approximately 25-30 users.

The focus of ranking is on workout intensity as opposed to complexity

1 = A workout that is quite easy and well suited to beginners
5 = A workout that is not easy, not hard and well suited to intermediate exercisers
10 = A workout that has an 'OH MY GOSH' factor, is very intense, and challenges even the most advanced exerciser
