Size of exercise ball?

Hi Cathe or anyone who can answer this.

I need to purchase an exercise (stability) ball to use for a prenatal class I'm taking in October, and also so I'll have it post baby for Cathe's workouts. I am 5 ft. 7 1/2" tall and wondered what is the best size of ball to get for my height?

Thanks for any help you can give:)

Below is a guideline (courtesy Fitness Wholesale). Typically, when seated on the ball your hips and legs should be bent to 90 degrees.

4'7" - 5'0" : 45cm
5'1" - 5'6" : 55cm
5'7" - 5'11": 65cm
6'0" - 6'3" : 75cm

If you can "try one on" that would be great. The 90 degree rule is correct, but 90 degress or slightly more. The size guidelines are general and vary person to person (i.e. if you have longer or shorter legs, for example). You should get what is comfortable for you. I'm 5'9" and I have a 75cm ball, as I have longer legs. The 65cm just wasn't comfortable for me. So, use the guidelines as your starting point, and then see what works for you.
