Hi to Cathe and "educated crowd"-
I have been rotating the new 6 pack w/ the Power Strength Series and am very pleased with the way this program feels. I did want to know if it would be ok to play with the incline on the bench when doing presses and flies? Is it better to go really steep w/ an incline or just a little? Or is just better to switch them all up from time to time?
Can somebody give me a detailed explanation on which muscles of the chest are used when doing incline vs flat. I would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks in advance!
Lynn

Hi Lynn! While both ways are very effective, it is best to switch positions from time to time to challenge the chest muscles in new ways. The incline can vary from 30 to 45 degrees. When you are in a flat position, you work the chest in general. The higher the incline, the higher into the chest muscles you work. If you get too upright(almost vertical)you will be shifting your focus and using a tremendous amount of front delts(shoulders).
