Pyramid L. Body Stability ball & knees

Cathe,

I was very disappointed at how uncomfortable I found using the stability ball for the first part of the floor work,( the pelvic lifts with one leg raised). I had trouble keeping my foot on the ball, but most of all I found all of it stressful to my knees. Is this normal? I really have never had a problem with balance, so I am not sure what the problem is. Also should I let some air out of my ball because your balls seem to give more than mine

Thanks,

Kathy

Hi Kathy! Take it just a little bit at a time and allow the muscles to gradually get conditioned for the new ways they are being called upon to perform. Learning to stabilize with the ball is not easy. It comes at a different pace for everyone. I suggest doing both legs down most of the time and raise one leg up for small increments at a time as to not overload your knee joint. Eventually you should become more comfortable doing this exercise as your body adapts to the ball work. Good luck!
