Pain in the neck,

Hi Cathe!! Just a quick question for ya'. I recently got a barbell and I'm doing the 35lbs on Leaner Legs like you all do(it getting easier!!) The only 2 questions I have are with this weights my upper back, shoulders, and neck get really tense and sore. I don't want to lower my weight, in fact I plan on upping it. But is this a sign that maybe I should? Also, when doing the calf raises I leave the barbell on my back. I LOVE to work my calves

! I'm assuming I'm not throwing my form, but not entirely sure. So, is it OK to have the barbell there for added resisitance? Thanks for taking the time to answer. Have a good one
