Hi! I'm new to the forum and am pretty excited about it's being here. The thing is that I'm not too up on what kind of exercises I should be doing on what days. I mean, I rotate as far as legs one day, bi's and shoulders the next, chest and triceps the next, etc. I am 33, 5'2", 125 lbs. and in pretty good shape (I'm a size 3,) although I have trouble keeping my waist thin. I just bought Kick Max, Strong Legs and Abs, Interval Max, Maximum Intensity Cardio, Chest, Shoulders and Abs, and Back, Biceps and Abs. But I don't feel that I'm getting a good enough variety-with the cardio videos that is. Any suggestions?x(

I like Step Blast (only step), and Step Jump Pump (circuit using step, hi/lo, weights). That would add more variety in what you already have. Plus there are a lot of premixes to choose from on this DVD to make workouts longer, shorter, no weights etc.

Mary Beth,

I am really enjoying Low Max. It is touted as low impact and it is but the intensity is way up there. Two premixes split the whole thing into two different workouts which last about 45 minutes each with the stretch so that adds to the variety of the DVD.

I am usually drenched by the time I finish each of these workouts and because the focus is on lower body, my legs are shaping up really nicely.

Edited to say that the CoreMax DVD for abs is awesome. There are three different core workouts that last approximately 20 minutes each. The variety from workout to workout is amazing and the variety within each workout makes the time fly by.

Looks like you could do with some more step workouts. Step Blast, Rhythmic Step, Power max and Circuit Max would be my suggestions.

Don't you find that too much step aerobics builds up your quads? Also, what do you think of the Cross Train Express Series?

Mary Beth,

I have not found this the case for me but my legs are slow in responding. The CTX series is excellent. There are several workouts with a lot of variety. Actually, this was my second Cathe DVD after IMAX 1.

Thanks. I've had a hard time deciding between the CTX series and the Body Blast Series. Have you tried the latter?

Yes, I have almost all Cathe's stuff.

I am really, really enjoying the Body Blast workouts. I own Kick Max, Low Max, Muscle Max and Core Max. Cathe has upped the intensity in this series but the fun factor outweighs each workout in such a way that I find myself smiling even though I'm working very hard. That's the way working out should be, IMHO.

CTX is fun also but IMHO not as fun as Body Blast.

But, seeing as you are new to Cathe, CTX is a great way to experience her workouts. As I said, there is a lot of variety in the CTX series: Kickbox, Step, Hi-Low for cardio and Upper Body Split and Leaner Legs (a killer) for strength training, a circuit training workout and finally an abs section.
