Decline Bench Press

Hi Cathe, what do decline bench presses do for you? I know I have seen it mentioned here before, but cannot find it. Thanks so much. Take Care Mary
 
It is also my understanding that it is a very strong movement. That is, most people can go as heavy on a decline as on a flat bench (while the same is not typically true of an incline). Therefore, I would think that decline presses would be one of our real muscle builders/calorie busters! Jeanne

I've actually stopped doing push-ups (hard on my wrists and I can never do them effectively because of it) and substituted with decline presses. I now feel like I'm actually getting a good workout.
 
Kathryn, thanks so much. I think that I am going to try doing the declines for a while and see if I get any stronger. Mary :D
